What is RacesAndClasses?
RacesAndClasses (RaC) was made to bring the best RPG experience to Minecraft servers. You are able to customize your own classes and races, making your server a world full of adventure! RaC is inspired by the biggest MMORPG game in the world, known as World Of Warcraft.

Plugins with RaC
RaC works with almost any plugin! Mcmmo, heroes, faction and towny. These are the most commonly used plugins for this plugin and they all work 100%
RaC offers plenty of configuration, for each individual server. For example some server owners love the teleport arrow for raiding, and some don't; so It's all up to you.
Developers guide
RaC is as mentioned, a customizable plugin, that also counts for custom traits.
This means, that any developer can make their own traits and make his/her server even more special!

Important notices
First of all: All these components can be disabled in the config!
Gravity's Updater:
For legal reasons and for uploading this plugin to Bukkit I have to mention, that the plugin has an updating service which connects to 'http://www.curseforge.com/'. This includes:
- Checking the Version of the plugin against the newest release Version.
- Downloading the newest Version if enabled.
Error Uploader:
Also the Plugin uses an Error Uploding Service, which connects to my Domain: www.tobiyas.tk.
This includes:
- Reading Errors from the error.log located at plugins/RacesAndClasses/debug/error.log
- Uploading these errors to my domain (www.tobiyas.tk)
- The Errors are visibly ONLY to me (Tobiyas) and are regularly checked to find and fix bugs faster than via Tickets.
Hidendra's Metrics:
The plugin uses Hidendra's Metrics service and sends Metrics data of your Server to the Metrics at 'http://mcstats.org/'. This includes:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
All these services are optional and can be disabled via Configuration.
UPDATING From 1.1.6 AND OLDER VERSION
If you use the config.raceMaxHealth: ... of a race, this has been removed with 1.1.7.
You now have to use config.healthbonus: ... (as in classes) instead.
You get 20 base health + race healthbonus + class health bonus.
UPDATING FROM 1.0.3 AND OLDER VERSION
If you use
general_saving_savePlayerDataToDB: true
Set this option to false and do a restart with the old Version. For best Use with 1.0.3 (RC 2)! This will convert all File DB related Data to YML data. If you do NOT do this, your PlayerData will be LOST!!!
If you have
general_saving_savePlayerDataToDB: false
you can safely ignore this step.
Known Bugs for Current Version (1.2.0)
Only runs on Bukkit distros using Spigot API (spigot, paper, ...).

i have tried versions 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 on my minecraft 1.8 server and neither have given me the configure.yml is it in a different area besides in the RacesAndClasses folder that shows up in the /plugins area of my server files and if so where would I find it?

1.1.0 should work fine on bukkit, but if i recall, it had a lot of errors too. Why are you so reluctant to just upgrade RaC?

Update your RaC. 1.1.0 is for 1.7.9 and cannot be guaranteed to work on a later version. See if this will allow more files to generate for you. How the plugin is running at all, without other files, is beyond me.

Posted Feb 27, 2015How does this plugin work with other plugins or mods that add new weapons and weapon types like maces or clubs? Would AxeDamageIncreaseTrait affect a Battle Axe that came from a mod? That would probably depend on how it is coded right? Do you know of any weapon mods that are compatible with your plugin? If not, could you add the functionality of being able to set the classification of weapons? For instance if i add a new type of sword(via modding) and I want to make sure that players get the dmg boost for swords that is part of their class, I can use a command or gui to set the weapon type to the sword classification so your plugin recognizes it as a sword.
If you can acomplish this I will be sure to donate. Thank you for enduring my barrage of questions.

like leopard im also missing the Configure.yml files but i do have the debug files im running a minecraft 1.8.3 server and am using version 1.1.0 of the plugin it says in my cmd.exe that it is enabled but it still won't show up also all of the commands will not work any idea how to fix? should i make my server an earlier version?

you can bind any spell to any item using /bind OR you can do /bt open to create a skill hotbar. Use /bt to activate/disable it.

View things that are wrong.
1) http://pastie.org/9980113 << this issue comes up, probably because you're overriding the Class HP by Heroes.
2) you're overriding the class hp that Heroes gives, when I chose the default "orc" my hp was set to 30 hp when it should be 1000hp.
3) if a player is vanished, it will not let them choose a class starting (more of an admin issue)

Maybe they shouldn't be using shovels to attack things? xD
Also, there may be something in configuration you can put to delay or remove that message altogether, but I am not sure.
I'd first check the default config file, then check the documentation page for traits for anything you add to your traits in your classes.

what about the message "You don't own enough mana to cast the spell" ? I matched the spells to shovels for my mages and if they are doing close-combat they are spammed hardly

Posted Feb 23, 2015If changing the race, is it still taking over the old class or has this bug been fixed already (i've been inactive here for some time now) and i'd be pleased if a reset of class has been implemented to prevent bug usage where the class-race matrix is not working correctly - thx in advance
Another thing: i mentioned in a previous post: "Is there a possibility to link (most of all Magic) Traits to certain items, so that they are not all linked to one item (default: stick). ?
I'd be very pleased if there was another option to use the "Throw-Item-Trait" or some others. As you already mentioned, you wanted to bind spells to books or carpet-colors; i was more thinking of different Shovels "
Maybe adding an option like "ItemUse for different spells or Traits (stick for magic and apple for activation traits are very low number (2) of alternatives, since maybe each class/race is not always good-looking with them)
