What is RacesAndClasses?
RacesAndClasses (RaC) was made to bring the best RPG experience to Minecraft servers. You are able to customize your own classes and races, making your server a world full of adventure! RaC is inspired by the biggest MMORPG game in the world, known as World Of Warcraft.

Plugins with RaC
RaC works with almost any plugin! Mcmmo, heroes, faction and towny. These are the most commonly used plugins for this plugin and they all work 100%
RaC offers plenty of configuration, for each individual server. For example some server owners love the teleport arrow for raiding, and some don't; so It's all up to you.
Developers guide
RaC is as mentioned, a customizable plugin, that also counts for custom traits.
This means, that any developer can make their own traits and make his/her server even more special!

Important notices
First of all: All these components can be disabled in the config!
Gravity's Updater:
For legal reasons and for uploading this plugin to Bukkit I have to mention, that the plugin has an updating service which connects to 'http://www.curseforge.com/'. This includes:
- Checking the Version of the plugin against the newest release Version.
- Downloading the newest Version if enabled.
Error Uploader:
Also the Plugin uses an Error Uploding Service, which connects to my Domain: www.tobiyas.tk.
This includes:
- Reading Errors from the error.log located at plugins/RacesAndClasses/debug/error.log
- Uploading these errors to my domain (www.tobiyas.tk)
- The Errors are visibly ONLY to me (Tobiyas) and are regularly checked to find and fix bugs faster than via Tickets.
Hidendra's Metrics:
The plugin uses Hidendra's Metrics service and sends Metrics data of your Server to the Metrics at 'http://mcstats.org/'. This includes:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
All these services are optional and can be disabled via Configuration.
UPDATING From 1.1.6 AND OLDER VERSION
If you use the config.raceMaxHealth: ... of a race, this has been removed with 1.1.7.
You now have to use config.healthbonus: ... (as in classes) instead.
You get 20 base health + race healthbonus + class health bonus.
UPDATING FROM 1.0.3 AND OLDER VERSION
If you use
general_saving_savePlayerDataToDB: true
Set this option to false and do a restart with the old Version. For best Use with 1.0.3 (RC 2)! This will convert all File DB related Data to YML data. If you do NOT do this, your PlayerData will be LOST!!!
If you have
general_saving_savePlayerDataToDB: false
you can safely ignore this step.
Known Bugs for Current Version (1.2.0)
Only runs on Bukkit distros using Spigot API (spigot, paper, ...).

I want certain races to have certain classes. For instance: Elves and humans can be archers, orcs can not.
I've seen clues of how to pull it off with permissions and such but I got really confused. So how to do it?

I cant seem to see anywhere this is changable in the ./plugins/racesandclasses/config.yml and help on that file says its self explanatory which I agree I just dont see anything dealing with passive health trigger levels.

I love the plugin but it gives me massive lag when players join for the first time:

Armor check issue in 1.6.4's version? Is that fixable - or is it only something I can get by updating to 1.7's version?
I know the 1.6.4 isn't supported anymore, so if it's a bug I don't expect it to be fixed in that version.
Issue Recap: - Race Armor restriction only works with Vanilla armors, and there is no option to disable the Racial Armor check. - Because of this, when a non vanilla armor is used, an error comes up saying "you do not have permission to wear this" X
#(number is the ID of the armor) - The armor doesn't de-equip when this happens, and instead a duplicate copy is made in the player's inventory.I don't intend on having ANY armor restrictions for Races, and therefore simply want the ability to remove Armor checks/restrictions from races I create. It is the only thing stopping me from using this plugin.
Can this be done in the 1.6.4 version of this plugin?

Just found your plugin and i really want to make it run but when à put it in my plugin folder and load the server the plugin don't charge in all and bug : http://pastebin.com/m6GmPVVf
Now the plugin works fine but i don't see any health bar/xp bar and the use of stick for magician didn't do anything :(
Do you have some explication to install or addons to make run this plugin ?
I'm sorry for my poor english but frensh is my mother language :s

Q: How do I change / use Magic spells?
A: You can change Magic spells by left clicking with a 'wand' (default is a Stick). Casting a spell is possible by right clicking with a 'wand'.

Yes and No, the leveling system that is supposed to be built into the plugin currently doesn't work/do anything. However using the leveling option in the config (of atleast 1.10, don't know about older versions) to use McMMO or another plugin (I forget which) you can have a leveling system.
However, it is buggy at best either way. The skills that are used with a level setting cause a lot of issues last I hear (I don't use levels myself) and I'd advise against using them unless you want to try for yourself and report if you find any different. But, don't expect much.. :\

That's one way to do it, glad you found something to get it working for you. ^.^ If I had an issue like this, I'd probably trigger my command running plugin to work on a pressure plate trigger and run command to give them a group with the perms, make it seem more or less automatic and no one just walks right past it for lack of reading. xD
Lazy people are fun... :P

I have made a temporary work around for GroupManager (my Perm plugin), In my case the subgroup gets assigned the main group because Groupmanager likes to keep players who are in the default group out of the Users.yml to save space, and it only writes their data to file if they are then changed from the default group, to like Builder or Helper.
When players first join they are presented with a permissions button http://prntscr.com/4jl1id once hit it moves them from the default group 'default' to 'member'.
Incase your wondering im using HolographicDisplays and TouchscreenHolograms for the button.

Where the permissions group goes is a limitation of Vault. Its not RaC's fault. There may be a way for RaC to force/attempt to use subgroups, but not all plugins use those at all and forcing it use "sub group" would make it entirely unusable with plugins that don't. RaC is compatible with the "popular Perm plugins" it's just not an easy task to get it to cooperate.
I think that "it works", despite that it's a bit of a pain to setup properly, is far better than making it incompatible with others at all...

Thanks, that a bit more than I want to go through. The plugin needs to be changed up so it works with the most popular perm systems without interfering. It was cool while it lasted..uninstalled till later when it plays nice :)
