Quester

Quester is highly customizable plugin handling all kinds of quests. From simple "gather to get reward" quests, to complicated forked story-telling quests. What is even better, everything is customizable on-the-fly directly in game ! No more restarting/reloading your server every time to change something. Localizable messages, plenty of different, highly-customizable objectives, conditions, events and flags. NPC and sign support. All this together creates almost unlimited possibilities.
Found a bug? Have a suggestion? Sumbit a ticket.
Don't forget to specify Quester version you are using and label the ticket appropriately. Tickets without label will take longer to review or be ignored completely.
Latest DEV version should be working with recent minecraft versions. See dev builds.

I just tried on my test server, and q reload works as expected. Did you save any modifications made ? Are you sure you modified the right file ?

That would be cool, something along the lines of a speech listener so you respond with typing an answer and it would break the quest off into 2 more more branches of alternate routes/endings? Or making it so when you click an NPC they say something like 'hows it going?' or 'hello there' and you respond with, I need a quest or I need some work, then they speech you some options that users can dictate

No, it only shows quest progress once they are on that quest already. NPC tries to complete the next objective, and if it fails, progress is shown. I feel that sometimes (a lot of times) questholder is not enough, so I'll be adding more ways to interact with npcs/signs.

Posted Jul 23, 2013He's working on that EpicBoss Gold Edition, cant wait for that, but I did send him the error so he could maybe patch the current version, or use it to test the new version.
One thing that got my attention still: is 0.7 supposed to show the quest information when you punch the NPC? 0.6 it only shows what quest he holds; 1 or more. I wouldnt want players to to have access to some quests info. Dont want them getting ahead of themselves.

Posted Jul 23, 2013Well then... found this after looking thru the logs. Not sure if its EB or Quester since I can spawn the boss just fine using /eb boss spawn LunasUncle Rank1Boss1 and I wouldnt get this error. Maybe quester spawns the boss, or tries to?

Also, running the command in the command promp generates that error :( so its an EB problem

I'm not sure if this is a problem with the quester. Try running that command from console and see if it works, as it's exactly what quester does.

Posted Jul 23, 2013Using 0.7 cus I thought it would help my problem but it did not. I cant for the life of me get quester to spawn an epic boss. I get no errors and the command is entered correctly : eb boss spawn LunasUncle hole. It just wont spawn the boss, it will run other commands just fine too. I can run the /eb command outside of quester and it spawns the boss in that location just fine. Here is my quest details:

I assume you are using 0.7. It is possible to reload quests in latest 0.7 snapshot (/q reload -q), otherwise you need to shut server down, apply changes and start it again or use ingame editor.

Posted Jul 23, 2013So how can I now take that item e.g I have a quest that player needs to get a sword then bring it back and get a reward. Also can I make the quest in the quest file or do I have to be doing it in game via commands. Since when I edit quest file and do /q reload no changes apply .
