Quester

Quester is highly customizable plugin handling all kinds of quests. From simple "gather to get reward" quests, to complicated forked story-telling quests. What is even better, everything is customizable on-the-fly directly in game ! No more restarting/reloading your server every time to change something. Localizable messages, plenty of different, highly-customizable objectives, conditions, events and flags. NPC and sign support. All this together creates almost unlimited possibilities.
Found a bug? Have a suggestion? Sumbit a ticket.
Don't forget to specify Quester version you are using and label the ticket appropriately. Tickets without label will take longer to review or be ignored completely.
Latest DEV version should be working with recent minecraft versions. See dev builds.

Posted Jan 16, 2013yeah it seems to work now. kind of the person i used to check it had some glitch. he accepted while opped and completed it while not opped. anyways it works now thanks alot.
1 simple question i still have:
u surely know the programm quest writer. is there any way u can contact the dev and maybe get it back to work with quester?

Having OP status or quester.admin perm grats you condition bypassing, so you can start the quest even if you are not meeting all conditions. You can easily check what conditions are met by typing "/q show <quest name>". Conditions that are met are green, and conditions that are not met are red.

uhm i got ome problem actually with the command /q condition add questnot to make it can be done only once mode.
it adds the condition succesfully and if i take ur example quest that should be all what i need to do right?
but sadly i can repeat my quest as often as i want to..
its because i got all permissions? kind of a "you can always repeat unrepeatable quest" node?
tell me if its just my permissions or if i done something wrong with the plugin please.

You can do nothing about it right now. I was thinking of unique bosses and mob packs when I created npckill objective. Set other npcs to be invulnerable if you want specific npc to die. I will do something about it in the future.

I see. Possible but unlikely to happen in near future. I'd either have to use spout or send fake human npc names.

I have one question to the npckill objektive, so i have multiple npc with the same name but i only want them to kill the one with the ID 2 what can i do?

Do you know WoW? About questgivers is a question mark, so that when you walk past him directly recognizes that he has to give a quest.

Quester generates local.yml in its folder. You can translate it to your language.

I have a hosted server so I use a Filezilla client and it is very finicky with files, I would update my quest.yml and Filezilla would not recognize the change. In other words, I was editing the quest.yml but it was not saving properly.

According to your quest config, you were not using ID but the name, I copypasted it and it worked for me. It makes me think you just had quester.admin permission.
About the bug: Are you sure it stays there ? It often becomes o "ghost" item (only clientside), which, when picked up, will disappear. Make sure you try it in survival mode, because it will not disappear in creative mode. I've been testing ITEM objective and it did succesfully take my items, however, in most cases they did not disappear right away. It's not my fault, client inventory is not being properly updated.
If you are still sure it will not take any items, write step-by-step guide on how to reproduce this problem, so I can fix it.

Sorry about that, I removed the picture. I got it to work. I had the quest id instead of the name for the QUESTNOT node. Thanks
Edit: I also noticed a bug. For an item collection quest, when you go to turn in the quest at a sign or npc, if you go into your inventory and drag the item you need to finish the quest, off your hotbar and replace it with anything else, such as a torch and then exit your inventory and right click to complete the quest, your item will not be taken and you will finish the quest without it collecting your item.

Posted Jan 14, 2013I use an npc as the quest holder. Would this be the reason for the quest being available more than once even when QUESTNOT is set as a condition.
I also deop myself and tried this to no avail.

EDIT: I'm using NPCs as quest holders BTW.
