Quester

Quester is highly customizable plugin handling all kinds of quests. From simple "gather to get reward" quests, to complicated forked story-telling quests. What is even better, everything is customizable on-the-fly directly in game ! No more restarting/reloading your server every time to change something. Localizable messages, plenty of different, highly-customizable objectives, conditions, events and flags. NPC and sign support. All this together creates almost unlimited possibilities.

Posted Jan 13, 2013I want to make my player delivery an item to another npc. So my question is : Can i make an objective like that or as I did there : use another quest on reward to delivery an item ( the other npc will be the npc who got the holder ) and, i want my player to go back to the first npc : that's the probleme ! To do that i need to make an other quest and give to the same holder and so to give to the holder that quest. But when they have to choose the quest they can choose the wrong quest. Have you a solution ?

Flag HIDDEN makes quests disappear from list obtained by using command "/q list". It is not meant to hide quests on NPCs, because it was created to force players to take quests from NPCs, signs or locations. If you want to hide quest in specific holder, simply remove it, becuase there would be no way for players to take that quest either.
Edit: Use one of the pasting sites next time, thank you.

Posted Jan 13, 2013I can't hide my quests form the Questholder at a Npc even if i add the flag HIDDEN, even the player who doesn't have the permission : quester.modify can see it from the list, is there a bug or is that me who makes the things wrong. there is my quest :
cuistot3:
name: Cuistot3
flags: HIDDEN;NODESC;ACTIVE;
objectives:
'0':
type: ITEM
item: '344'
amount: 5
events:
'0':
type: ITEM
occasion: -3
item: '354'
amount: 2
ID: 2
Thanks for you reply,
Ridgil.

Once more, read very carefully and follow the steps.
@FusSionzZ97
Look at this page, that's where you will be placed after clicking that {occasion} on events page.

I put all the quests in there, i know they would work, and when i did a restart, it says they dont exist when i type /q info 5 [which was the id for one of the new quests]
EDIT: i just checked the quests.yml file and all the quests i put in there, the ones not made in-game have been removed.

Stop the server, place quests.yml, start the server.
@KubaBVB09
If you are having trouble with ITEM condition, don't use it, I can't really help you more, since I can't identify your issue.

Posted Jan 11, 2013Is there any way to add quests through the config files, cos when i tried it says the quest doesnt exist, because im sick of adding 10 of the same type of quest, which only has a few changes.

Does it work with other items ? Make sure it is possible to drop the item with Q before trying to accept quest, it may be cliet-side ghost. (not probable but possible) Also try with other quests or objective combinations. It is time for me to think about incorporating some in-depth debugging mechanism into quester.

I tried it while holding a stack (64) of paper and it still doesn't do anything other than read it back to me... hmm

I copy-pasted it into my quests.yml and it works. It should show you the progress only when you can't afford to complete an objective.
Edit: It means that your problem is either very specific and mysterious, or you don't have enough paper on you.

Posted Jan 9, 2013Thanks for the response, I'm sorry but I can't get it to work. So I did what you said and replaced it but now when I right click the NPC it just feeds me back the information "- Collect paper - 10x"
