Quester

Quester is highly customizable plugin handling all kinds of quests. From simple "gather to get reward" quests, to complicated forked story-telling quests. What is even better, everything is customizable on-the-fly directly in game ! No more restarting/reloading your server every time to change something. Localizable messages, plenty of different, highly-customizable objectives, conditions, events and flags. NPC and sign support. All this together creates almost unlimited possibilities.

If you want to have more quests at once, hold shift while accepting the quest. If you want to prevent this, just do max-ammount: 1 .

Posted Jan 21, 2016Hello.
Is there any way to use custom objects (with custom name/lore) as requirements for players to start a quest?

That's 0.6.
0.7 uses
/q condition add quest <quest name> [time in seconds] -i
or
/q condition add questnot <quest name> [time in seconds]
The second one is depracated and merely converts into quest condition.

Yes, in 0.7, all command arguments consisting of multiple words have to be quoted "like this" or 'like this'.

Posted Nov 19, 2015Thank you! That solved that problem! However, it appears that there are some different problems with this version. Specifically, it won't let me type in more than one word for a /q desc add or /q desc set. The same thing happens with /q event add msg 0 <message>. I don't have a pastebin because no errors show up. It just says: Too many arguments Usage: <message>

Old quester is not compatible with newer citizens versions anymore. I'm afraid you need to update if you want it to be compatible. You will need both Quester and QuesterNpcs from here.

Posted Nov 18, 2015Could you help me with this error? It doesn't seem to be registering that the NPC had died and therefore isn't completing the objective?

Make sure NPC's name is colorless. Old Quester was supporting it but the newest one does not support it.

I believe Quester is not causing the issue you are experiencing with playsound command. Are you sure syntax is correct, does the same thing happen when you try to run it from server console?
I can't tell why npc kill objective isn't working, but I will not be updating 0.6 version anymore. Please consider updating to newest dev version. (Note that you will need to use QuesterNpcs plugin as well if you are planning to work with npcs.)
@Dreviosus
You are most likely using 0.6 version of the plugin, it's been known to not work well with GroupManager. While I know it's Quester's fault, I will most likely not be updating 0.6 anymore. Please consider updating to newest dev version, which should work better in general.
If the issue you are talking about is happening with newest dev version, I'd like to know more about your server environment, mainly groupmanager version and also bukkit implementation you are running (craftbukkit, spigot, cauldron), and if possible, I'd like to get your permission file as well.

Permissions are not working, i use GroupManager, and i dont plan on changing my permissions plugin anytime soon, is there anyway i can get some working permissions for this permission plugin? :/ Thanks
Sincerely, Dreviosus
