Quester

Quester is highly customizable plugin handling all kinds of quests. From simple "gather to get reward" quests, to complicated forked story-telling quests. What is even better, everything is customizable on-the-fly directly in game ! No more restarting/reloading your server every time to change something. Localizable messages, plenty of different, highly-customizable objectives, conditions, events and flags. NPC and sign support. All this together creates almost unlimited possibilities.
Found a bug? Have a suggestion? Sumbit a ticket.
Don't forget to specify Quester version you are using and label the ticket appropriately. Tickets without label will take longer to review or be ignored completely.
Latest DEV version should be working with recent minecraft versions. See dev builds.

4. Player switches back to the quest

Posted Jan 10, 2014I setup quests to collect items, I want it so they have to kill the mobs to get the items.
however, they can put the items in a chest, break the chest and it counts toward the feat, then they just pass along the items to the next person and they put them in the chest and break it.

Is there a way to make it so they have to kill the mob to get the items?
Note: I know the quest name for questnot needs to be the name and not id like it shows in the pastebin

0.7 changed, quest elements changed and new ones were added, commands changed, quests.yml format changed. I will let you know once I set up the new wiki. It may take some time, as I'm currently in the middle of my finals.

Unfortunately I recently found out it's not only a little issue. I lost all my databases because of misunderstanding, which means wiki will have to be recreated from scratch...

There's a way. You can have enclosed area, and have repeatable quest that will just teleport you to that area on start, and cancel/complete itself immediately. This quest can have point condition, so only people with certain amount of quest points can start it. You can use varios other conditions, or even block event to have some sort of "gate keeper" instead of teleporting.
To create NPCs with other types of interaction, try looking for other plugins that can do that. Quester can execute commands at certain points in time to summon/manipulate entities managed by those plugins.

Posted Jan 4, 2014Does anyone know how I can create a quest reward area? I want it so that when you have a certain amount of quest points you can enter, but if you don't meet the required points you cant enter.
On a side note, I was wondering if it is possible to create a trader, have him sell you a quest item then later on in the quest have him attack you?

Yes, you must use quest name, not ID. That's new tihng in 0.7.

Posted Jan 3, 2014Hey, thanks for all your help, awesome plugin but i have another question :D Can you set the order of how objectives are supposed to be complete? Like if i want the player to gather 20 stone THEN right click the NPC. Because right now they can get the quest and then just immediately right click him then get stone and be done. I hope that makes sense!
