Quester

Quester is highly customizable plugin handling all kinds of quests. From simple "gather to get reward" quests, to complicated forked story-telling quests. What is even better, everything is customizable on-the-fly directly in game ! No more restarting/reloading your server every time to change something. Localizable messages, plenty of different, highly-customizable objectives, conditions, events and flags. NPC and sign support. All this together creates almost unlimited possibilities.

If you also make it so we can set a redo delay on quests, it would be awesome :P

No, but good news is that it will soon contain its own item/mob customization !

Wow, that lets me make a huge amount of quest kinds, it's great! Thanks for the quick answer too :) So here you have another question: Does Quester support plugins that create custom rpg items? Thanks beforehand.

It inverts the behaviour of the element. So if event is giving items, inverting it would cause it to take items instead. Or if condition is checking if quest has been completed by a player, inverting it will make it check if the quest wasn't completed. Or if objective requires player to enter specified area, inverting it changes that requirement to leaving the area.

Posted Dec 14, 2013Just a quick and I guess silly question. What is the "inverted" flag actually for? I don't understand it at all.

Yes, wiki mostly refers to development version 0.7 and 0.7 is newer than 0.6. Yes, 0.7 is incomplete yet and some of your old quests will most likely need minor modification before they can be accepted by 0.7, but many others should be converted by 0.7 without problems.

Posted Dec 7, 2013hello the 0.7.0 build is very buggy can you please fix it,
1) when i /q create (questname) it says wrong argument or something then tell me to type /q create (questname) even though i did
2) when a holder only has one quest assigned to him and you go to sel it its shows info like conditions and and some other info without even right clicking to start the quest.

Yes, now toggle and quest events use only quest names. Config keys should be unchanged.
@jajamic
Yes I will.

Posted Dec 5, 2013So quest ID isn't used in the toggle event anymore? Is it the name now? (using 0.7 version for 1.7.2) I can't seem to find anywhere how to use the toggle events properly anymore (not command wise, I hate using the command setup)

By the way I hopefully fixed this, and negative permission will work in the future. Newest build currently does not contain this change.

No, yes, mostly. (I don't take any responsibility for it breaking your things (but it really shouldn't do any of that (although it's not 100% compatible with the old quester files)))

Posted Dec 4, 2013Oh, cool.
So is 0.7 compatible only with the new 1.7.2 build or is it good for 1.6.4 as well?
Also it being a dev version, is it reliable?

I assume you are using version 0.6. This issue has already been tackled in 0.7, and should no longer appear.

Posted Dec 4, 2013Hello once again.
Rather than requesting help, I've got a different inquiry this time.
I'm adding events to objective-completions during quests and the order seems to be very jumbled up only for the objective-completion events, not quest starts or completions.
Thankfully, everything is still working with the delays and whatnot, however this makes running through the quest info to check events quite confusing.
Hopefully there is a workaround or something.
Thanks.
