PvPGear
PVPGear
PVPGear is a plugin for Bukkit Minecraft Server that makes some items like golden armor and tools (useless before) useful again – in PVP!
Items are fully configurable through config so you can make any item to hit foes like thousand swords (or harder!).
Also, there is a parameter that can make your items to set your foes on fire!
You can also make certain enchantments do additional damage or even ignite opponents!
Current plugin state: beta. I haven't throughly tested this on productions server so use at your own risk.

Great plugin!
Would it be possible to add a durability variable? For example, if I wanted to make gold swords and armor last longer, or diamond armor last less.

Here are default damage values for all swords:
wooden = 4
stone = 5
iron = 6
golden = 4
diamond = 7
1 is a multiplier. For expample, if you set it to 2 it would make damage turn x2. For ogled sword default damage is 4, but with multilayer set to 2 it turns to 8 (4 x 2).
To make gold sowrd/armour to be beter than iron but less good than diamond you can make diamond deal x1,2 (7 x 1,2 = 8,4 round 9) and golden x1,75 (4 x 1,75 = 7). I think this will be enough.

If user has no permission node - plugin won't do anything for him. Simple as that.
Two permissions: pvpgear.pvp and pvpgear.pve. Each one is checked on their respective actions - first one in pvp, second one - in pve.
Pretty simple! :)

Posted Apr 20, 2012New version is sent to bukkitdev and is waiting for approval. It has permission nodes (tested with PermissionsEX) and one pretty stupid bug fixed. If you can't wait the approval time - go get it on github!

Posted Apr 18, 2012I was in Amsterdam on vacation, guys, so couldn't code:) Now I am back so expect a release in next few days. Also, a bug was found in the latest version (pretty major) - I will try to fix it also in the new version.

Posted Apr 8, 2012@Lildirt Me no post download button because... No, I actualy did post it, but all files on bukkit dev have to pass some inspection, like in apple's appstore. It takes up to 4 hours between I upload a file and when it becomes visible.
@Piginabag Yeah, any item - you can even make a bed become a weapon of mass destruction. And just pvp. There are other mods that change item damage completely, but I dont remember their names.
