PvP Titles

This plugin is based on the Hero titles from Guild Wars and takes the idea of PvP Titles. These Titles reflect a player's success in defeating other players by earning Titles after a specific amount of Kills.
You can see a demonstration of the plugin in this video. (May be outdated after some time)
Features
- Get new Titles on Player kills
- Set your own Titles and their Fame amount
- Check out the Fame System
- One simple command for all your desires /rank
Commands
- /rank - Displays your info
- /ladder - Shows top 5 players with fame
Permissions
- pvptitles.rank - Activates /rank command.
- pvptitles.ladder - Activates /ladder command.
- pvptitles.chat - Enable rank in chat, REQUIRED true in config

The latest version (1.2.4) should fix your problem. It will now work with pex and the rank will be shown behind %prefix automatically.

Hello Buddy!!! The ladder is awesome.
Now one more thing. Is there any way to reset the scores of everyone by a command? I mean, like a season or something. It should be very nice!
And, i dunno if I'm asking too much, but to record the TOP 3 of every season. :D

This is the normal one '%prefix %player%suffix %message'
With your Plugin included you could add, '%prefix %pvprank %player%suffix %message'

Nope, that isn't the point of my plugin. It is PvP not PvE.

Hooking up into other plugins is most of the time nasty. There are a lot of different chat plugins and not every plugin is compatible with each other.
I may only support 1 or 2 of the "major" chat plugins in the future but thats it.

Multi-world
so that server owners (like me) could set up a world for only these features, cause all of my other worlds are non-pvp/towns etc.
Leader-board
like what JulioSoares said, TOP 10/5 Features for fame and kills would be awesome, and especially if you could hook this into a web-server.
SgTitles
Please hook this with SgTitles and make it configurable to change the colour of each rank :)

Suggestion: Add it so that entity kills give you titles too (Example, I kill zombies and I can get titles) Just a config option where I can alter that :)

Posted Jul 17, 2012I just realized a way to make this work in the way I mentioned in my previous comment. Somehow tie it in so that chat plugins can use a module for it like [pvptitle] and then you can format it anywhere you want. I'm not sure how you'd go about it, but Jobs does it with their titles. Thanks!

Posted Jul 16, 2012Very nice plugin! People on my server just can't stop playing PVP However it misses a few commands, like "/fame <player> <amount>" to give a player some fame and a reload command. Also, I made a rank that needs 0 fame (a kind of default rank in fact) but it doesn't display until the player get 1 fame. Could you fix that? Oh, I almost forgot... but as reaching the latest rank is really hard, could there be a reward system? Where you could choose in the config file an item ID to give. Good work anyway :)
EDIT: Found a bug: when you're max-ranked, your rank isn't displayed. EDIT2: another idea: extra fame when killing high-ranked players!

Posted Jul 13, 2012I have PeX and this is technically working great... but the placement of the prefix for this is all wrong for me. My pex chat manager prefix and the player's name show up first, THEN pvp titles. I changed my pvp titles to all be adjectives like "vicious" or "Ruthless". My PeX groups are "bandit", "brigand" and things like that. I want it to show up:
[Ruthless] [Brigand] [Playername] :
Is this possible?

Yeah, we're still going to have to hold off on the plugin until it no longer removes all prefixes (world, channel, rank, for us) and doesn't strip all the chat colors.

Sounds about right. You can change the color of [Hero] in the config. See here how to do it.

EDIT: So, it replaced my existing prefix, and stripped the colors. [Hero] is in the default light green though.
