ProtectionStones
Anti-Griefing at it's Easiest!

Griefing Protection
ProtectionStones allows a player to place a special block, and this protects their area from griefing.
This small plugin was inspired by PreciousStones but only has the property protection blocks. This allows players to place one of three types of ore blocks to protect their property.
The player doesn't require any special permissions, they just need to get one of the three following ore blocks which you can give or sell in game using other plugins:
Coal Ore gives 11x11x11 protection area.
Lapis Ore gives 21x21x21 protection area.
Diamond Ore gives 41x41x41 protection area.
See the Configuration Page if you would like to change the block types, the dimensions or even set the Y-Axis to be from sky to bedrock, set group limiting, etc.
When the player places the block it creates a WorldGuard Region that gives the player ownership of that area and in turn grief protection. If the player breaks the ProtectionStone then they get the stone back and the region is removed from WorldGuard's Region List.
To install simply copy the ProtectionStones.jar file to your plugins folder, no configuration necessary. The following Ore Blocks are supported as the defaults: Coal Ore, Lapis Ore, Diamond Ore.
ProtectionStones Regions
ProtectionStones Creates WorldGuard Regions with the following naming convention:
ps{x-coordinate}x{y-coordinate}y{z-coordinate}z
i.e.
ps279x67y40z
The x, y, and z coordinates are the location of the placed ProtectionStone which is in the center of the WorldGuard Region it creates. If the Region.SKYBEDROCK Setting is set to "true" (see the Configuration Page) then Y-Axis of the ProtectionStone isn't necessarily the vertical center of the region.
Incompatible with PreciousStones
Both plugins act on the same kind of ore blocks and have the same command name of "/ps".
Requires WorldGuard
WorldGuard is used to create and remove regions when the blocks are placed, otherwise ProtectionStones won't do anything (set not to load if WorldGuard isn't found).

Posted Apr 2, 2013If I wanted to allow only one group to be able to place a specific protection type, for example a 51x51x51 What steps would I have to take to do this.
Is there a way for me to do lets say protectionstones.create.51x51x51 (51x51x51 being the protection block, or diamondore)

There's a few things you can do, but the easiest one would be to use a different block instead of a Diamond Ore Block as one of your ProtectionStones, you can use up to 16 different ProtectionStones, and almost any Block Material Type, please see the section called "ProtectionStones (WorldGuard) Region Sizes" on the Configuration Page.

Posted Apr 1, 2013Is there a way for you to mine out the stone with a fortune enchanted pickaxe?
My members are moaning they are silk touching their diamonds they find, going back to their bases, placing the diamondore down, then trying to fortune III them, but it just returns the diamondore block...

If you mean to add them as a member then the protectionstones.members (to use with the "/ps add [player]" command).
If you mean to add them as an owner then the protectionstones.owners (to use with the "/ps addowner [player]" command)
All the permissions are on the Permissions Page.

Hey, there's a files tab at the top of the page, there you can find all previous versions of the plugin and get the latest 1.2.5 version. I assume your wanting it for Tekkit.

You can pick almost any block you want, and also you can block silk touch, please read the documentation for more information.

Posted Mar 29, 2013Hello, nice plugin. I was wondering, are these three ore block's unique on their own and cannot be replicated by someone with a silk touch pickaxe? It would be helpful if I could control how players get these stones rather than just avoid my method and mine for them freely. -thanks :D

I'm not adding a timer, I've thought of doing it, but at the current time I don't want to add any additional load on servers.
There is a command that allows you to clean up old ProtectionStones Regions (and all WorldGuard Regions) based on the players last logon date, but read all the information about the "/ps admin cleanup" command on the Commands Page, and use with care.

Posted Mar 29, 2013do you think you could add a timer to the protection stones?
like say someone is not on the server for over a month their protection gets removed?

I don't want to do any player monitoring for performance reasons.
There are commands for removing old player regions, please see the Commands Page.

When you upload files to Bukkit, they have to "okay" it's release.
I just noted it here until it is reviewed by the Bukkit Team, to hopefully prevent the flood of questions looking for a new update.

Not sure why people are getting console errors.
I've uploaded PS 1.9 with a new Piston Blocking Option.
Built on "bukkit-1.5.1-R0.1-20130324.180424-12" Dev Build and WorldEdit 5.5.4, WorldGuard 5.7.3
