ProtectionStones
Anti-Griefing at it's Easiest!

Griefing Protection
ProtectionStones allows a player to place a special block, and this protects their area from griefing.
This small plugin was inspired by PreciousStones but only has the property protection blocks. This allows players to place one of three types of ore blocks to protect their property.
The player doesn't require any special permissions, they just need to get one of the three following ore blocks which you can give or sell in game using other plugins:
Coal Ore gives 11x11x11 protection area.
Lapis Ore gives 21x21x21 protection area.
Diamond Ore gives 41x41x41 protection area.
See the Configuration Page if you would like to change the block types, the dimensions or even set the Y-Axis to be from sky to bedrock, set group limiting, etc.
When the player places the block it creates a WorldGuard Region that gives the player ownership of that area and in turn grief protection. If the player breaks the ProtectionStone then they get the stone back and the region is removed from WorldGuard's Region List.
To install simply copy the ProtectionStones.jar file to your plugins folder, no configuration necessary. The following Ore Blocks are supported as the defaults: Coal Ore, Lapis Ore, Diamond Ore.
ProtectionStones Regions
ProtectionStones Creates WorldGuard Regions with the following naming convention:
ps{x-coordinate}x{y-coordinate}y{z-coordinate}z
i.e.
ps279x67y40z
The x, y, and z coordinates are the location of the placed ProtectionStone which is in the center of the WorldGuard Region it creates. If the Region.SKYBEDROCK Setting is set to "true" (see the Configuration Page) then Y-Axis of the ProtectionStone isn't necessarily the vertical center of the region.
Incompatible with PreciousStones
Both plugins act on the same kind of ore blocks and have the same command name of "/ps".
Requires WorldGuard
WorldGuard is used to create and remove regions when the blocks are placed, otherwise ProtectionStones won't do anything (set not to load if WorldGuard isn't found).

What is the point of a ProtectionStones using commands, you can do that with WorldGuard.
And if you have the jar file you already have all the source, just give me credit for writing the original code on anything you create using it.
Also if you don't want to use "stones" you can use my other plugin PropertyGuard.

Right, at this time, PS only allows you to place a PS if you are in a WorldGuard Region where you are the owner or in a non-region protected area.

Thanks for your reply :)
So there isn't any method to allow only the placement of PS blocks with WorldGuard, right?

The global build deny only allows building (so also PS Placement) in existing regions so you wouldn't be able to use that with PS.
PS need to create cubes around the stones, so it can't really make a radius, by design.

In the Protection Stones config you can add -build allow
under the flags section. Is that what you meant?

Posted Jul 31, 2012Nice work, I really like you plugin! :)
But I got problems using this plugin with he WorldGuards "global build deny"-Flag. Is there any method that allows me to protect my whole world but also use ProtectionStones to create regions where players can build in?
If there isn't any method yet, you could maybe add a feature to use a command (e.g. /ps create RADIUS ) which would create a WorldGuard Region in the specified radius around the player (would be also helpful with people who are able to play in creative mode e.g. VIP to stop them creating infinite regions).
If you don't want to add a feature like this you may post the plugins source code and someone else could try to add this feature.
(Sorry for spelling or grammar mistakes, English isn't my native language ;) )

Please read the Configuration Page on Region Limits and Group Limits.
And here's the note from that page on redstone:
Note: If you wish to use Redstone Ore use GLOWING_REDSTONE_ORE instead of REDSTONE_ORE, which is data item value 74 (not 73).
If you are still having a problem send me a copy of your config.yml and your perms file and I'll check it out for you.

I can't add any dimensions other than symmetrical cubes and cubes that have skybedrock for all the cubes. To keep PS small and fast I use WorldGuard for protection and it uses WorldGuard's Region Database for the PS information, so at this time, only symmetrical cubes can be used.

I won't be adding a buy or sell command, you can either use my RegionRealtor or a sign based one like Simple Region Market, etc.
