ProtectionStones
Anti-Griefing at it's Easiest!

Griefing Protection
ProtectionStones allows a player to place a special block, and this protects their area from griefing.
This small plugin was inspired by PreciousStones but only has the property protection blocks. This allows players to place one of three types of ore blocks to protect their property.
The player doesn't require any special permissions, they just need to get one of the three following ore blocks which you can give or sell in game using other plugins:
Coal Ore gives 11x11x11 protection area.
Lapis Ore gives 21x21x21 protection area.
Diamond Ore gives 41x41x41 protection area.
See the Configuration Page if you would like to change the block types, the dimensions or even set the Y-Axis to be from sky to bedrock, set group limiting, etc.
When the player places the block it creates a WorldGuard Region that gives the player ownership of that area and in turn grief protection. If the player breaks the ProtectionStone then they get the stone back and the region is removed from WorldGuard's Region List.
To install simply copy the ProtectionStones.jar file to your plugins folder, no configuration necessary. The following Ore Blocks are supported as the defaults: Coal Ore, Lapis Ore, Diamond Ore.
ProtectionStones Regions
ProtectionStones Creates WorldGuard Regions with the following naming convention:
ps{x-coordinate}x{y-coordinate}y{z-coordinate}z
i.e.
ps279x67y40z
The x, y, and z coordinates are the location of the placed ProtectionStone which is in the center of the WorldGuard Region it creates. If the Region.SKYBEDROCK Setting is set to "true" (see the Configuration Page) then Y-Axis of the ProtectionStone isn't necessarily the vertical center of the region.
Incompatible with PreciousStones
Both plugins act on the same kind of ore blocks and have the same command name of "/ps".
Requires WorldGuard
WorldGuard is used to create and remove regions when the blocks are placed, otherwise ProtectionStones won't do anything (set not to load if WorldGuard isn't found).

Ok, I'll just have to look out for something else eventually, Thanks anyway for your great plugin and all the work you have done on it, I've been using it on my server for a long time.

There's a bunch of new projects, but probably not, the rewards of writing plugins at this point are few and far between.
It's not worth all the work, because no one is ever happy with anything, so as I said I will probably go on writing plugins and mods for private servers only.

People have used sponges in the past as there PS's, if the name update is the same then the base name would work, but any data added (for example slabs and stairs, some use data besides the name) wouldn't work.

I guess you are not thinking about making PS sponge compatible for the future then?

Can't be done in this version of ProtectionStones, was planned for PS 2.0 But with all the complaints, Bukkit crippled, and having to wait on WorldGuard, not to mention where any of this is going now that Microsoft owns it, I'll probably discontinue all my plugins and my other 36 plugins will not be added to Bukkit will only stay on private servers.
There's more work documenting and answering the same questions (even when they are usually documented) then actually working on plugins at this point.

And it's a beta, and the API is still not documented.

WorldGuard 6.0 Beta is released but the API Docs and Java Docs are not updated, so some functions compile with no messages saying the functions have changed, but when you run PS WorldGuard functions like regionRemove() report that the function no longer exists.
So at this time I'm waiting on WorldGuard to update their API Docs, so I can finish the changes,
As markdf noted, early adopters take risks, WG 6 is a beta, people tend to forget that beta isn't a release build, it's still in testing, so you might run into problems.

Posted Oct 23, 2014You shouldn't have been so quick to update worldguard when you have other plugins that depend on it. Suggest you read the earlier comments here.

Posted Oct 18, 2014Is there a way to prevent people from using certain flags? Also a WG 6.0 version would be amazing, with UUID support as well, since name changes are happening soon probably within a couple weeks.
Also do you know why whenever someone does ps add a lot the server lags like crazy? See this http://timings.aikar.co/?url=8588986 under playercommand ps it is crazy lagging the server.

Yes, it's an awesome plugin. Can't wait but you can use PreciousStones. You just have to configure it to do the same as this plugin. But it's annoying and pain it the butt to configure. But if your players are soo used to this plugin, this is the only option you have

Posted Oct 12, 2014Hello! I also use the latest version Spigot and the Beta build of World Guard. And just noticed that the plugin does not want to load. :(
Then I have to wait well. How long will it take until the next build?
Thank you for this awesome plugin! :)
