ProtectionStones
Anti-Griefing at it's Easiest!

Griefing Protection
ProtectionStones allows a player to place a special block, and this protects their area from griefing.
This small plugin was inspired by PreciousStones but only has the property protection blocks. This allows players to place one of three types of ore blocks to protect their property.
The player doesn't require any special permissions, they just need to get one of the three following ore blocks which you can give or sell in game using other plugins:
Coal Ore gives 11x11x11 protection area.
Lapis Ore gives 21x21x21 protection area.
Diamond Ore gives 41x41x41 protection area.
See the Configuration Page if you would like to change the block types, the dimensions or even set the Y-Axis to be from sky to bedrock, set group limiting, etc.
When the player places the block it creates a WorldGuard Region that gives the player ownership of that area and in turn grief protection. If the player breaks the ProtectionStone then they get the stone back and the region is removed from WorldGuard's Region List.
To install simply copy the ProtectionStones.jar file to your plugins folder, no configuration necessary. The following Ore Blocks are supported as the defaults: Coal Ore, Lapis Ore, Diamond Ore.
ProtectionStones Regions
ProtectionStones Creates WorldGuard Regions with the following naming convention:
ps{x-coordinate}x{y-coordinate}y{z-coordinate}z
i.e.
ps279x67y40z
The x, y, and z coordinates are the location of the placed ProtectionStone which is in the center of the WorldGuard Region it creates. If the Region.SKYBEDROCK Setting is set to "true" (see the Configuration Page) then Y-Axis of the ProtectionStone isn't necessarily the vertical center of the region.
Incompatible with PreciousStones
Both plugins act on the same kind of ore blocks and have the same command name of "/ps".
Requires WorldGuard
WorldGuard is used to create and remove regions when the blocks are placed, otherwise ProtectionStones won't do anything (set not to load if WorldGuard isn't found).

Posted Jan 12, 2014a member just found on my server that after a viewing a pstone and removing it the glowstone doesn't remove itself and when placing a new one and viewing that they then have two sets of glowstone. Is there anyway a timer can be added to the config so we can choose for it to disappear after a while?
Also players are getting kicked for flying if they stand on the glowstone

You really should be evaluating just how useful protections are if explosives can destroy everything inside of them. This plugin isn't really intended for PVP environments, so that shouldn't be a surprise.

Posted Jan 10, 2014Hi, Great plugin really love it.
I have hit an issue though it could be down to config. When the protection stone is blown up using TNT cannons, the region remains in place. Is there a way to change this. I am using the block 'sponge' and I want to let players fight with tnt but if the protection is still their after the stone its not going to work.
Hope you can help with this.

That sounds great, but if that isn't going to happen soon, I think I will try the world guard way. The only problem is that, I am not sure what command I should use for people not to interact with the world but when they place a specific block it lets them place it and gives them a region! Thanks, great plugin

WorldGuard added a "global" region a little while back, and in the future I am considering adding an option that if you have it set to Build Deny and Priority -1 that you are allowed to place ProtectionStones, for such protection, but this option isn't available at this time.

I don't know why it's affecting fortune at the same time, but I'm glad you found a work around.

To remove a message on entry or leaving run these commands in your regions:
/ps flag greeting /ps flag farewell
You can also change the defaults in the config.yml so future regions are not created with those messages by removing the the "greeting" and "farewell" from the Flags Section.
Please read the Command and Configuration Pages

Posted Jan 5, 2014While the noSilkTouch option is enabled Fortune is disabled as well as silk touch. Is there any way to change this? I don't want silk touch so that people can't cheat for protection stones though I also want fortune.
Edit: I found a fix to the previously stated problem, just disable the noSilkTouch option and get a seperate plugin which disables or modifies silk touch.

You can have as many as 16 different block types, using almost any block material.
Please read the section called "ProtectionStones (WorldGuard) Region Sizes" on the Configuration Page for more information.
You can use 1.6.4 and above.

You can add them as members of your region like this:
/ps add {player}
Or if you want them to be able to modify the region flags, etc. you can add them as another owner of the region, like this:
/ps addowner {player}
The ownership would give them full control over the region settings. You would also need the protectionstones.owners permission to use the addowner/removeowner commands which are defaulted to "op".
Please read the Commands & Permissions Pages for more information.

They can only place PS's in areas that either unowned (not a region) or they are the owner of the region (to create sub-regions, etc.)
So if you already have a WorldGuard Region in spawn, then they won't be able to protect it.
