The GUI provides ease-of-access for your users. Simply typing /pp will open the GUI and bring them to a menu where they can edit their particles. If you are using the plugin for a server lobby, you can bind the /pp gui command to an item using a different plugin.
The section below contains a GIF of all styles currently available in the plugin. Please note that all styles are compatible with all particle effects, meaning there are thousands of combinations. I only show one effect per style in the GIFs below. While most of the GIFs only show the particles around a player, the majority of them can also be placed around blocks.

PlayerParticles will check for an update each time your server starts. The plugin .jar will never be downloaded, OPs will get a notification in chat when they log in if an update is available. PlayerParticles will also send metrics about your server anonymously through bStats.
Update checking can be turned off by setting check-updates to false in the config.yml. Metrics can be turned off by setting send-metrics to false in the config.yml.
If a player has their particle settings (In Options > Video Settings) set to minimal they will be unable to see most particles displayed. I am unable to fix this since it is purely client side.
I will only help you with errors you are having if you are running the latest version of the plugin and are running a supported version of Minecraft!

What do you mean can I add Heart particles? They are already in the game. /pp heart As for on the head or around the player, I don't really see a real need for that as it would cause more stress on the server than is necessary.

If lightning was actually a particle, trust me, it would be in the plugin. Lightning is actually an entity, and because of this I wouldn't be able to stop it from making noise.

Yeah like that, would there be a way to mute the lightning around the player so It's not loud? Just the particle itself that strikes around the player?

Technically yes, but it would probably be so loud and obnoxious that it wouldn't really be worth it. Do you mean having lightning strike around the player in a 5-10 block radius?

Posted Dec 6, 2014Loving the plugin so far! I'm gonna install it onto my main server. I was wondering if you could change the footstep particle so it touches the ground instead of sprays everywhere? If you can't totally fine just a suggestion, keep up the good work :)

When I was testing the plugin I didn't notice this as a problem. If you are using the new 1.8 version on 1.7 server software I recommend switching to v2.3. Otherwise, please let me know if there are any errors in the console. Thanks
