PlayerParticles
PlayerParticles has moved to Spigot. Please download the plugin from https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/playerparticles.40261/ for now on. Newer versions will no longer be uploaded here.

PlayerParticles is great to use as a VIP perk and is EULA friendly! Your players will love the amount of customization that is available for them!
The plugin wiki can be found here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki

Permission details can be found in the wiki here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki/Permissions

The GUI provides ease-of-access for your users. Simply typing /pp will open the GUI and bring them to a menu where they can edit their particles. If you are using the plugin for a server lobby, you can bind the /pp gui command to an item using a different plugin.

The section below contains a GIF of all styles currently available in the plugin. Please note that all styles are compatible with all particle effects, meaning there are thousands of combinations. I only show one effect per style in the GIFs below. While most of the GIFs only show the particles around a player, the majority of them can also be placed around blocks.

PlayerParticles will check for an update each time your server starts. The plugin .jar will never be downloaded, OPs will get a notification in chat when they log in if an update is available. PlayerParticles will also send metrics about your server anonymously through bStats.
Update checking can be turned off by setting check-updates to false in the config.yml. Metrics can be turned off by setting send-metrics to false in the config.yml.

If a player has their particle settings (In Options > Video Settings) set to minimal they will be unable to see most particles displayed. I am unable to fix this since it is purely client side.
I will only help you with errors you are having if you are running the latest version of the plugin and are running a supported version of Minecraft!

Please let me know when Java 7 compatible build is ready. Also can I use values like 0.5 to increase number of particles per second to 40?

Whoops. I'll compile that with Java 7 right away. In v2.0 you are able to change the number of particles in the plugin config. The field is ticks-per-particle

Hello, can you please compile this plugin using Java 7? You compiled it using Java 8 and it is not compatible with Java 7.
Also it would be great, if you can add option to config file to set how much particles per second users want to generate.
Great plugin anyway.

Posted Aug 4, 2014Updated to v2.0! While BukkitDev is approving the file you can download an unapproved build above. Note that this build has not been approved by bukkit.

Posted Aug 1, 2014Great plugin! Just suggesting that you should be able to remove the [PlayerParticles] prefix before the messages, if possible!

Version 1.2 of the plugin has not been approved by Bukkit yet. Version 1.1 only allows the use of all particle types. The permission is playerparticles.use Either use playerparticles.use or check back every once in a while to see if version 1.2 has been appoved :)
