My Config

Intro

This is my first plugin and has grown much beyond my original sights and has grown in size by a factor of 20 reaching into the 10's of thousands of downloads. The plugin has recently been adapted to allow animated server pings with moving text and a gif for the server Icon. I saw someone was offering an animated config for $12 a download and I thought, I can do that and better, for free. Then, the mega-upgrade of my original plugin had begun and hopefully you will enjoy the fruits of my work. So, if you want an animated ping for you minecraft motd, you've come to the right place.

Also, the old config (earlier than v4.0) has been replaced by a new file. The server will not atuo-transfer from the old config. And I got rid of the motd.txt file.

Note, you need Protocol lib to run this plugin

Hello, I would like to apologize to anyone that wanted to use this plugin. The latest version of minecraft broke this plugin (that was a few months ago). I was discouraged by this so much that I just abandon the project and refused to look at it. This is unacceptable behavior from a content creator and I shouldn't have acted this way. I will post the source code for the broken plugin soon. This code will not work but anyone can see the code that made the magic work (undocumented scrawl is the real magic. I will never document it... that is way too much work for the time I have now). Hopefully this will be of some consolation. I may change the software so that it will work as the initial versions did without the animation. Apparently 37k of you have downloaded the software and I thank you for your support and not reporting me constantly for the small support that I have given.

Hai Fly,

Could you make it so it can show a list of staff online. Could you do this via a permission where if staff has it, it shows up on the list?

i.e. Admin has playermessagecount.staff and shows up in the list

Could you make it hook into PEX and even have it so different staff have different colored names in the list? Can it also support any amount of staff?

I Can Not Seem To Get Space's Working Through Command's Or The Config? Don't Know If Thats A Bug Or What, When I Use Space's Through Commands It Does Nothing, When I Use Space's In The Config It Just Reset's The Config Back To Default?

So, i got time to test the Bungee Version of this plugin. It works perfectly except for those 3 bugs:

%max% doesn't take the Fake Max Players set in Bungee, it takes instead the Max number of players connected (like %online%)
Second line of MOTD is broken, it's just the first line with some kind of broken animation. Here is my MOTD Config part:
motd: frame_size: 50 lines: - '&2&lMaxCraft &f&lReborn &4&lNetwork' - '&9- &bFactions &9-;&9- &bVanilla &9-;&9- &b Infected &9-;&9- &bSkyWars &9-;&9- &bFFA (In arrivo) &9-;&9- &bCTF (In arrivo) &9-;&9- &bHungerGames (In arrivo) &9-;&9- &bSkyBlock (In arrivo) &9-' animations: - wrap forward - frames intervals: - 200 - 400 loops: - -1 - -1

%user% tag in the Player Howering Display doesn't get replaced and instead it just shows "ser%"

And 3 other not PluginBreaking bugs/others:

World and Playername entries aren't in the config (maybe because it can't be done in the Bungee Version? :/)
Animated Server Icon doesn't show
/pcm reload doesn't update lenght without restarting the Bungee Proxy

EDIT: If using "players-and-staff: false", staff won't be counted in the %online% tag.

Yes, and so does 4.3, I might look into another library besides Protocol lib to evade this problem in update 4.4

/pcm reload reloads the config

/pcm save saves the current

what you did was save to the file, then load the file so there was no change. Just do /pcm reload to load from the config.

When i edit the config and type /pcm save and /pcm reload then reload the whole server I reopen the config and It reverts back to original config :(

My next update will include bungee cord. But my schedule has not been the best recently, mostly my fault for not planning ahead, so it may be delayed. There are many things unrelated to this plugin that I have to do and I'm sorry that I may inconvenience those of you that want to use the plugin. My time guess now is 1-2 weeks for the release, I know that's what I said last time but, this time I will just push out a partially finished product by at latest the 11th and then release a fix later. Thanks for waiting if you still are and I hope this hasn't put you off from using the plugin. Thanks for reading this and hold on, it's almost done.

I have now coded a bungee cord version of Player Count Message that "words", maybe... It needs some testing, I'd be happy to lend you an early copy to anyone that wishes to test it. If you're interested, add me on Skype, I'm flyguy23ndm, and, if you tell me how it works, I will let you have an early copy. The Bungee version will be released with 4.3 and will be released within the next two weeks. Hopefully contain some new functionality in addition to the Bungee version, hopefully... :D
