Pixelator
Brief description
Pixelator allows you to put an image from a file or an url onto a map and share it with other players or put them in item frames as a kind of showcase!
Features
- You can create an infinite amount of image maps
- Renderers are saved to file when the plugin disables and will be loaded from it on startup (the file will be deleted after this process)
- Images are rendered instantly onto maps, no ghosting bars
- Image maps can be put in item frames so everyone can see them
- You can display a list of all active image maps with some details
- Doesn't lag the server due to the use of a new thread for loading/rendering the images
- Easy usage
- Detailed help pages
All listed features above are always referring to the newest version of Pixelator!
Commands & Permissions
| Command | Description | Permissions |
| /pixel create <source> | Creates a new image map | Pixelator.create |
| /pixel give <id> | Gives you the desired image map | Pixelator.give |
| /pixel remove <id> | Removes an image map | Pixelator.remove |

| /pixel reload | Reloads the whole plugin | Pixelator.reload |
| /pixel help [page] | Shows the help pages | None |
| - | All Pixelator permissions | Pixelator.* |
<source> can either be an url or a path to a file. Please note that if you want to load something from file you start in the server's folder! (Examples: /pixel create Test.jpg attempts to load the file Test.jpg from the server's folder - /pixel create plugins/Pixelator/Test.jpg attempts to load the file Test.jpg from the Pixelator folder)

Posted Mar 2, 2013I have noticed that other users on my server see blank maps in picture frames unless they have held the map item in their hand and let it load. Is there any way for me to be able to post the items in frames and have them visible to users that did not actually acquire the map item and load the image first?

Posted Feb 28, 2013Awesome stuff man! :-)
I first tried FramePicture but it has some bugs which cause massive lag and the images aren't preserved on server-restart =/
I somehow feel sorry for the other dev, but he hasn't responded for a couple of days (lets hope all is well).
Again thanks for creating and sharing this wonderful piece of ca.. code! ;)

Making this for paintings isn't possible with bukkit atm, cause the images that'll appear on the paintings are stored in the files of your texture pack :(

Posted Feb 18, 2013Can you make the same thing for paintings? Would much appreciate if you can come up with something. Ive seen that some other plugins like that are in planning but I can use this plugin with such ease that I think you will be able to make it easy for paintings too!

Yes, I could add that and it doesn't use that much ressources, especially not when you let the prictures save locally! It just renders the pictures on plugin startup or when you create one with a new picture ;)

Yes. I've tried multiple paths, images, and links. Every one of them comes up as an error.

Did you use the right path or a working link?

That's because the plugin will setup all map pictures on startup, maybe you've used some big pictures which have to be resized and that causes some lag... I'll try to make it more effecient with less lag on startup next version ;)
