Feel free to open pull requests, but try to keep the changes per PR minimal to reduce the time required to review them. If you have larger or more complex changes in mind, feel free to contact me to discuss them before you start working on them.
We also started to move the documentation over to Github: https://github.com/PaintballWarEdition/PaintballLegacy-Wiki/wiki
But this can certainly be improved. If you want to help with the documentation, feel free to contact me and send me your Github username.

Paintball is a fast paced and action packed multiplayer game.
In the classic TeamDeathMatch mode 2 teams compete against each other to bombard each other with snowballs. Once a player is hit, he's out and automatically leaves the arena and has to wait in the paintball lobby for his mates to finish and the next match to start. In the Paintball lobby you will meet all paintball players, choose your team and wait for enough players, or the end of the last match. When all conditions are met, a countdown starts which announces the next match.

Basic-Features
Paintball is constantly expanding. There are more and more features added which have not much to do with the classic paintball game. But do not panic: According to your personal preferences you can modify or disable most things in the config.yml in the Paintball folder.
- No client or server modifications or additional plugins are required !
- Multiple Arenas: Build as many arenas as you like !
- Complete freedom on what your arena looks like! As Paintball does not care about your arenas borders, your arena can have any shape and layout, as long as it is impenetrable. Simple build some sort of wall around your arena to keep your players inside.
- Multiple Spawns: Paintball lets you define multiple spawn points for each team (red, blue, spectators) !
- Automatic-Lobby-Arena-System: The Paintball lobby will automatically rotate through all your ready arenas. No need for administrators to be online !
Limitation: Currently there can always only run one match at a time.
- Easy: No complex setup needed ! Only 4 commands and your arena is ready and added to the automatic arena rotation !
- Mechanism to strictly seperate Survival and Paintball and to prevent "cheating" in and with Paintball.
- Easy and individually adjustable small Shop, where you can buy ammunition or other special and unique "weapons", gadgets and power-ups with the Paintball-Cash earned during the matches.
- Ranking: Your players gain points to compete with each other !
- Various statistics: examples are Points, Cash, Kills, Deaths, Hits, Shots, KD, Accurancy, Teamattacks, Wins and Defeats for each player, each arena and as a whole.
- Toggleable Killfeed ! Turn it off if it spams you !
- Most stuff is configurable ! For advanced information click here.

Easy integration on every survival server!
Our main target is to keep this plugin easily integratable on any standard survival server without disturbing the survival feeling. Players shall not be able to swindle items or gain other advantages over survival players through Paintball.
Here you got some sort of overview what actions are taken to protect the survival-part of the server:
People with the 'paintball.admin' permissions node can bypass some of them.
- Prevent commands that are not related to Paintball. So player can't teleport or use commands as a benefit.
- Prevent breaking and placing of blocks.
- Prevent dropping and picking up items, or dropping the armor.
- Options to let players only join with full health or hunger so they can't escape during fights.
- Options to save the players inventory when joining the lobby and restore afterwards.
- Paintball inventory is cleared when leaving the lobby.
- Turned off damage and starvation inside the lobby.
- Many things can be disabled if they create problems with your other plugins.
- Explosions do no damage to blocks.
- Only Paintball players receive the Paintball messages. Your other players will not get spammed.

Additional information
Hint about version checking and stats collecting:
This plugin is checking dev.bukkit.org for new updates. This can be disabled in the config with the setting "Server.Version Check".
This plugin is also doing some periodically stats tracking to mcstats.org which helps me to determine how many servers are using it. This can be disabled with the setting "Server.Metrics".
And the plugin is also sending some stats to blablubbabc.de to maybe prepare for some kind of later serverlist (a list of paintball servers). Currently those data are only stored in a non-public mysql table on my server.
- This means that this plugin is sending some general information about the minecraftserver, like: ip-adress, port, servername, slots, motd, bukkit version, if server is in onlinemode and if it has whitelist enabled.
- And some information about paintball like: how many players already played paintball there and if it is an paintball-only server (autolobby enabled) and if the server admin wants the server to be listed at some kind of public server list later, when it is finished.
→Those data are currently only send once every reload.
→ For people who don't want to share these informations with me :( → you can en- and disable this in the serverlist config (plugins/Paintball/serverlist.yml) with the setting "post enabled"

Man kann die Arena in der gespielt wird nicht auswählen.. Man joint nur der Lobby und dort wird dann eine Arena ausgewählt, entweder in rotation, random, durch votes bestimmt, oder durch einen admin festgelegt (/pb admin next <arena>).
In Zukunft wird es irgendwann die Möglichkeit geben, mehrere Lobbies zu erstellen und jeder Lobby eine "Playlist" zu geben, die angibt, welche Arenen (und welche Gamemodi) gespielt werden in dieser Lobby. Geht derzeit jedoch noch nicht, es gibt also nur eine Lobby (es läuft immer nur ein Match gleichzeitig) und alle möglichen Arenen (all, die bereit sind), werden nacheinander, zufällig oder durch voten bestimmt, gespielt.

Sind alle gesetzt und funktionieren.
Ich habe z.B. die Arena Terminal und nutze "Signs".
Dort schreibe ich drauf [Paintball] /pb join Terminal.
Ich lande aber immer in irgend einer zufälligen Arena.
Ich habe in der Config schon alles was an radom ist auf "false".

I made a mini game and uploaded it on PMC, but I want it to be made to a plugin so I can have it automated on my server.. The minigame is easy.. So I asked a guy if he could make one for me (It's hes job..) But if he doesent respond.. Do you think you could do this? I can pay up to 15-20$, If you are intersted. I'll give you my skype name.. Ifyou do so.. I will give you alot of credit for it! :D

Nope, you won't be able to buy items and weapons in the lobby, because I plan to add the possibility for different gamemodes, and these could want to restrict weapons and items players can have and use.
I added a pre-game counter (5 seconds by default) in which players have some time to buy stuff and prepare.

Posted Jul 31, 2013Hello, I'd like to commend you on creating a tremendous plugin, you really have done great. One thing I would like to ask is whether or not it is possible to create a shop in the lobby. I'm using the ServerSigns Plugin to create links on the signs to but the items, but I ran into a problem. Whenever I click on the sign to buy it, it says that items can only be bought in-game. I'd like for players to be able to come into the game with the items already, but because of this issue, I'm afraid I can't. I'm sorry if you've already addressed this issue, but due to a lack of time I don't have the ability to go through the near 1800 comments and search for it. I checked around the plugin itself and couldn't seem to find anything. Thanks for any and all help you are able to provide, and I hope to see your response soon.

You have to provide more information.. because for me it works. Maybe you have changed the amount of given points in the config? Any errors in the console? If so, create a ticket.

By keeping it in the inventory, are you talking about keeping it through the match (over respawns), or are you talking about even keeping it when being sent back to the lobby? Because the last one will probably not happen .. each arena, gamemode might have restrictions on what items/weapons players can have.. so that won't work..
However, keeping items over respawns is possible, but there is the problem about differing between items player have bought and items players get for free on each respawn. What I have written below is related to how to handle this.
It won't matter if they hit someone by hand or with a sword -> it will always be cancelled and replaced with the melee damage configured in the config..
Yes, [Paintball] on the first line and /pb shop 1 (for example) on the second. However, I think v1.2.2 has a bug with shop commands on command signs currently, which however will be fixed in v.1.2.3

Posted Jul 31, 2013Er... That would probably be great too. But what I ment was.. When people for example buy an airstrike.. But gets killed right after buying it.. They would keep it in their inventory..
I am going to add a sword (Knife) in the shop, and I would like to have the feature that they could keep this knife in their inventory!
Ist here a way I can make a pb shop sign?

I am thinking about how exactly this could work (keep items on death), because of the items players currently get when (re)spawning. How about this:
Players keep their items, but if they have less snowball/grenades/airstrikes as the amount configured in the config they shall get on spawn, they are filled up. SO they only get the spawn-items, if they have less.

I could bet I have added a configuraion setting for it. Take a look at the configuraion documentation here: dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/paintball_pure_war/pages/documentation/configuration/
You can set the amount of seconds to 0, to disable it.

You could enable "OnlyRandom" (and "AutoRandom") in the config. This will basicly disable team red/blue selection. All players in the "random team" will be re-balanced when the match starts.

You have probably AutoLobby and/or WorldMode enabled in the paintball config. By the way, with /pb leave team. player can leave only their team/match and are brought to the lobby. -> this should work always, even with AutoLobby enabled.
An other plugin is blocking them from leaving the arena/region. I guess worldguard(?) Make sure no other plugins are blocking paintball from doing stuff, like moving/teleporting players out of a arena region..

Nope, you (currently) can't rename arenas. You will have to delete it and recreate it with the wanted name.
You could settup command signs with paintball which execute /pb vote [id]
However, no, you can't vote for arenas by name. Thats a restriction I can't change, because in the future you will be able to vote for something like:
[1] Arena1 - TDM
[2] Arena1 - CTF
.
.
.
So voting by name won't work that well there..

It should be enabled by default, if you have multiple ready arenas.. (at least 3). You can check your arenas with "/pb arena list" and "/pb arena <arena> info"
Also take a look at the config documentation for question about voting-specific settings.
@nocturne123 Create a ticket with and attach your server log (especially the part from server start until the error pops up). If other plugins are involved in executing the command (command signs, etc.), I probably can't help you..
