OtherDrops

Make anything drop anything, anyhow!
Minecraft 1.7 features (click)!!
OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Help Wanted
Would you like to help improve OtherDrops? Here are some ways to get involved:
- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.
Thanks
Many thanks to these people who helped with OtherDrops:
- Cyklo: creator of the original OtherBlocks. OtherDrops is a continuation of Cyklo's original OtherBlocks (2011) plugin.
- Celtic Minstrel: many code commits and a major overhaul of the code moving into version 2.0. Moved on to create DropFactory.
- Rofang: major update of OtherDrops documentation.
- RugRats13: lots of testing and some documentation.
- Faldonboy & Steelsouls: currently maintaining and improving the documentation.
- CommodoreAlpha: community support on the comments/forum, assisting with documentation.
Many long nights are spent improving OtherDrops so if you like it please consider a donation to my coffee fund :)
- OtherDrops uses Metrics for anonymous usage stats (learn more).

Posted Dec 23, 2012Are tool settings working for anyone else using this plugin with 1.4.5 R0.2? When I specify a tool in the drop setting, it no longer works for me, doesn't matter what tool.

both - setting the drop to DENY or NOTHING does, well, nothing. You will probably have to go back a good many pages to find them but there are plenty of comments about the problem at some point
Also, if it isn't too much trouble can you make a version that supports 1.4.5 R1.0 (it has the same change that breaks plugins that 1.4.6 has)

With 2.5.2 or 2.6? I tested 2.5.2 on the latest Bukkit and it overrode default fine.

I think that actually ties in with the bug most people have had since the last update of not being able to deny a mobs default drops, no matter what flags or settings you use they still drop. I've found that If you use the msir parameter in conjunction with the region parameter WHILE using the UNIQUE flag will prevent default drops about 80% of the time.

What most people, even people who use this plugin including myself, don't realize, is this plugin was so well coded from the start, it has lasted this long (working for the most part) without needing to be constantly updated. Think about what other plugin can say that. Not many, my friends, not many.

Its one of the bugs that popped up in 1.4 along with the item frame errors, if you look closely its about jukeboxes and music discs

Posted Dec 22, 2012All. I don't know about you, but otherdrops is a great part of what makes my server unique. I am able to customize so very much because of it.
I bought ZariusT a pizza via the donate button. I think that if you can afford to, you should as well.
@xBladeM6x, that's a cool signature image. What do you use to generate it?

Posted Dec 21, 2012This plugin: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/player-heads/
worked fine for me for player and mob heads, HOWEVER, otherdrops is incompatible with it and takes a higher priority somehow.
