OtherDrops

Make anything drop anything, anyhow!
Minecraft 1.7 features (click)!!
OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Help Wanted
Would you like to help improve OtherDrops? Here are some ways to get involved:
- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.
Thanks
Many thanks to these people who helped with OtherDrops:
- Cyklo: creator of the original OtherBlocks. OtherDrops is a continuation of Cyklo's original OtherBlocks (2011) plugin.
- Celtic Minstrel: many code commits and a major overhaul of the code moving into version 2.0. Moved on to create DropFactory.
- Rofang: major update of OtherDrops documentation.
- RugRats13: lots of testing and some documentation.
- Faldonboy & Steelsouls: currently maintaining and improving the documentation.
- CommodoreAlpha: community support on the comments/forum, assisting with documentation.
Many long nights are spent improving OtherDrops so if you like it please consider a donation to my coffee fund :)
- OtherDrops uses Metrics for anonymous usage stats (learn more).

Posted Nov 30, 2012There is a bug with otherdrops and McMMO.
Say if in McMMO you gained McMMO EXP from a log, but the log was modified with otherdrops, you wouldn't get the EXP.

Thx for the info.

--_New question. How does the % work on a scale. It seems if I set something to 10% I'll never see the drop but I turn it to 15% and it drops rare but still drops. Just curious as to how the % scales so I know how to better set up my formula.

2.6 Beta 1 supports vault if I don't mistake, 2.5.2 not, because it's an old version updated, without some bugs and without some useful stuff.

You want the PLAYER tool, means the player killing/breaking themselves.

This plugin does not alter what mobs hold/wear, so this issue is with another plugin.

Posted Nov 16, 2012This plugin is amazing, and is now a staple of our server. Fish are easier to obtain since squid drop them, and respawn-upon-death mobd keep every player on their toes.
However, I'm having an issue: Skeletons are spawning without bows, and thus are no longer a threat at all. They just look at players, then wander off. Am I just not seeing it, or is there not a parameter available atm to set what mobs can wear upon spawning? Like zombies/skeletons in armor, or swords tools whatever.

Posted Nov 14, 2012I am attempting to make melons broken by pistons only drop 1-3 melon slices, however, player broken melons drop 4-5 melon slices. What is actually happening is that player broken melons are dropping 4-5 melon slices, however, piston broken melons drop 4-6 melon slices. Does anyone have an idea of how to make this do what I want it to do? Here is my config so far:

You can set drop: XP and then set the quantity to whatever you want the amount to be.

I see exactly the same error using a different plugin, which showed no errors before. Could it be something to do with changes in 1.4.2?
