OtherDrops

Make anything drop anything, anyhow!
Minecraft 1.7 features (click)!!
OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Help Wanted
Would you like to help improve OtherDrops? Here are some ways to get involved:
- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.
Thanks
Many thanks to these people who helped with OtherDrops:
- Cyklo: creator of the original OtherBlocks. OtherDrops is a continuation of Cyklo's original OtherBlocks (2011) plugin.
- Celtic Minstrel: many code commits and a major overhaul of the code moving into version 2.0. Moved on to create DropFactory.
- Rofang: major update of OtherDrops documentation.
- RugRats13: lots of testing and some documentation.
- Faldonboy & Steelsouls: currently maintaining and improving the documentation.
- CommodoreAlpha: community support on the comments/forum, assisting with documentation.
Many long nights are spent improving OtherDrops so if you like it please consider a donation to my coffee fund :)
- OtherDrops uses Metrics for anonymous usage stats (learn more).

Posted Jan 2, 2014Now a question of my own, does anyone know how (or if its possible) to spawn or drop mods/items at a location. I ultimately would like to spawn things by coordinates from the console. I saw on another post Zarius posted saying it was possible but the command listed doesn't seem to want to work. Has anyone gotten this function to work?

Posted Jan 2, 2014Here is my anti iron golem drop config. It may be depreciated since it came from an older version but it works for me IRON_GOLEM: - drop: NOTHING tool: ANY quantity: 0 chance: 100

Would that make it so Iron Golems DON'T drop iron ingots? I want to prevent iron farms on my server Also all I'd have to do is drop that at the very bottom of the otherdrops-drops.yml config file right?

Thank you so much! With the latest dev build, Coreprotect is no longer stopping the Vault Hook from OtherDrops and we were able to lose our previous mob payout plugin. :D

I'm almost certain you can already do that? Unless I'm misunderstanding you.
Is something like this what you're looking for? Having different drops based on the tools enchantment/level?

ZariusT will the future release contain the option to check the enchantment lvl as a condition to drop?

Posted Jan 1, 2014Dang, ratted out early :) Yes, back and will be working to get the dev builds back up and a new release for 1.7, as noted though most features are version agnostic and most blocks & mobs from 1.7 should just work.
@Commodore yeah, a short faq section the main page is probably good with a link to further faqs on another page (there's an faq page already but not much it yet I think).

Posted Jan 1, 2014I'd think it would be pretty important to point out that most, if not all features of OtherDrops are "version-agnostic", and as such, won't break on future updates, because they don't rely on anything version-specific.
I would add this snippet to the main page to lessen the amount of "Will it work on version x?" comments, but I don't know if it's technically the right thing to say.

All true, it would also appear that Zarius is back. *Points at that person lurking in the shadows* :)

Not saying I advocated using dev builds from "strangers" to begin with. :)
Just wanted to respond to his question as thoroughly as possible. Hence the "willing to send you a copy" part. I do realise it's against Bukkit's rules too (unless you send it via 3rd party, like mediafire, or email). Even then, a dev build is a dev build, so that alone should discourage people from asking.

Posted Jan 1, 2014I do have it but I have no intention of handing it out, the current release version works fine and I can't remember what was changed between the current version and the dev version that I have.
There could be unforeseen bugs that other people may have if I were to give it out and there would be no way for any of us to help them because I'm unsure of the changes in the dev build.
Also, its against Bukkits rules to post an unofficial version of a plugin on here unless the plugin has been abandoned. And it is considered an unofficial version by their standards even though Zarius was the one who made it.

Either faldonboy, ZariusT, or some random third person has it and is willing to send you a copy. Otherwise, there's no place to get it, unless you can find a server running a fork of OtherDrops, hosting their own dev builds on their own Continuous Integration Server.

Good, cause that's what I set it at and said "I am done fighting with it! If it works great, if not, oh well!" xD
