Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Posted Feb 15, 2012Hi lishid, just curious... How do you think Anvil will impact orebfuscator? With the advent of chunkscrambling your plugin is pretty darn vital, and I'd say irreplaceable for any serious server.

Thank you for everything, players are not complaining anymore about lags, awesome ! Seems it was the cause even if it should not be :/

Not sure, it might be the cause, but again, even with caching disabled, it should not lag at all.
Also, yes, the log is normal if you have verbose mode enabled.

Thank you very much for the very fast update ;)
But now I am spammed with: "Orebfuscator: Chunks calculated in the past 40 ticks: 0". Is that normal ? I don't think I have ever seen that before...
As you say, Orebfuscator should not lagging my server (and I know it because we use it for a few weeks now and never had any problem) but since a couple of days, our CPU was very busy, more than usual, maybe because the cache was not running ?

Here ya go, 1.3.8 is out for you. Although I still doubt that Orebfuscator is lagging your server. Orebfuscator processes everything off the main thread and should not interfere with the game unless you have a single core on your CPU.

It seems my last modifications have somehow invalidated hashes for caching... I'll release a fix soon.

Posted Feb 15, 2012Hi, I am currently facing an issue on my server. We are +/- 40 players online and we need cache to save or processor.
There is much lag since a few days so i've checked every plugin with "Verbose: true" even yours and it appears that we are not using cache at all, I'm spammed with:
"Orebfuscator: Cache not found or incompatible."
when I enable Verbose Mode. I've stopped ofc, removed the folder, reload with /ofc reload and it is still not working.
Any idea ? Is this due to the new version ?
We are currently running 1.3.7 on a R-4 craftbukkit

Posted Feb 14, 2012For some odd reason, the plug in doesn't work. It lets me do all the commands, but when I test it with my X Ray, it shows everything as it would. I went to some iron seeing if it was just what was meant to be, but it was legit iron. Help?

First of all, it has nothing to do with this plugin. It's a problem of spout.
Next, you might want to see which version of spout goes with the version of CraftBukkit you have (go search it up. ci.spout.org should tell you which build of CB each version works with)

1. How many players? 2. What's your CPU capacity 3. How many cores are you using 4. What's the value of ProcessingThreads in the config 5. Spout? 6. This plugin should not cause lag at all because it does not run on the main server thread and if you have more than one core on your CPU, it should not interfere with server ticks.

Posted Feb 13, 2012I really want this for our server, as x-ray is a common time wasting problem for our mods, however when I installed it lagmem reported our server going from 20 ticks per second to about 7 ticks per second suggesting a high processor load. Is there a suggested configuration for minimizing cpu load?

Sweet, I've installed Orebfuscator and the latest recommended spout-plugin. Using them both with R4 build of craftbukkit, I'll let you know if I have the issue again, thanks for you help!

No spout-plugin for Bukkit servers does not need the spoutcraft client.

Thank you, I'll check it out again. Do my players need to be using the spout client? Spout confuses me, do I install it just as a plugin? Or is it the actual server file? Thanks.

The newest update should fix the issue if you have spout installed. Also, you can ask your players to post screenshots to confirm if possible.
