Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Posted Apr 13, 2014You should really look at the hacked client Resilience. Your plugin is useless against it. I've downloaded and tried several other hacked clients, and your plugin works in stopping them all, but not Resilience.

Hmm, you might want to turn InitialRadius to 0.

It basically replaces stone to coal when flying (no Xray) into yet-loaded chunks, and I can still see Diamond (block 56) on xray.
unless of course the permission to use the /ofc command incorporates the permission to bypass obfuscation as well?

That's an interesting use for the plugin.
You could configure it by removing all block-id's from the ObfuscateBlock list EXCEPT diamond, and remove all block-id's from RandomBlocks and add coal. You can then set UpdateRadius to 0 to disable block updates to reveal the block.

Posted Mar 27, 2014Just wondering if this at all possible with your plugin, and if not, maybe consider this as a feature request: I've been looking for a plugin that can simply obfuscate diamond ore as coal ore to a client where the permission to see diamond is not set. I dont care about other ores because xrayers are really only after diamonds 90% of the time. as a configuration on a server, permanently obfuscating the ore will mirror reality slightly (in that highly compressed coal can potentially yield a diamond) and also add to the surprise of mining coal below layer 16. is this sort of ability/configuration possible with this plugin? I'm sure that a single ore obfuscation (without having to reshow it once discovered) would also minimize the impact on cpu and lag.

At one point, the original author of NoLagg introduced a way to override the chunk sending queue that is the exact same way Orebfuscator intercepts the sending queue. This caused a conflict in that only one of the two plugins can every do something with it, and the other would be locked out.
Then the original author had enough of Bukkit's stupidity and left the community. Some other developers picked up the code and tried to maintain it.
Originally, I had agreed with the original author on how both plugins would work together, and we constantly talk about new bukkit versions ruining both our plugins, and how we can fix our compatibility. The maintainer haven't been in touch as often, so when things break, neither of our sides does anything.
Because NoLagg overrides things in CraftBukkit aggressively, we initially agreed that they would redirect things to Orebfuscator whenever a compatibility thing is needed. The problem however is that they change the way chunks are sent, instead of sending a BulkChunk packet (Default minecraft, sends 5 chunks in one single packet, used for optimizing compression), NoLagg uses the old SingleChunk packet, which causes problems for orebfuscator because they set some variables to null for memory optimization.
So to fix this until NoLagg actually patches the compatibility: disable NoLagg's chunk sending mechanism. I'm not sure what the config name changed to over the years, but it seems to be "bufferedLoader.enabled".

Posted Mar 27, 2014It's been bugging me for over a month now, Nolagg claims they removed support for orebfuscator but does that mean that it no longer works with it or they just don't want to help with it anymore?
Orebfuscator was still working as intended, however, without changing anything it stopped working.(that means Nothing, configs, files etc were exactly the same as when it still worked).
And it drives me nuts that I can't find a solution to this problem.
So I'm asking if Orebfuscator is incompatible with Nolagg or did some autoupdater in either plugins change the files automatically and caused an incompatibility.
If there is an incompatibility between these two I can finally rest it and move on, however if there isn't, or there is but shouldn't prevent orebfuscator from doing it's job, I would like to know.
Currently when doing worldedits with stone or other blocks that would normally be orebfuscated, orebfuscator seems to obfuscate them but then doesn't.
It doesn't happen all the time, so I can't replicate this whenever I want to, but if I ever get the chance to do it I'll reply here.
