Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Posted Dec 7, 2013For those getting the "Bad compressed data format" and "ConcurrentModificationException"
Update to 2.0.3.
I'm looking into the tree issue. It applies to trees, houses, etc, basically anything generated in the chunk after its creation. I'm investigating the issue.

Posted Dec 7, 2013Ah ha - invisible trees. That explains it!! I saw some snow floating in the air, and I couldn't move around underneath it. I kept bumping into something. Now I know it was an invisible tree.
I also saw something else which may be related. When exploring, I see that snow, grass, and trees are placed in 8 block wide "stripes". 8 blocks of snow (or whatever) then 8 blocks of empty ground. If I leave the area and come back, the whole landscape is populated correctly. I wonder if this could be related to the invisible trees.

Posted Dec 7, 2013Thank you for the quick updates.
In 2.0.3 the users are complaining of 'invisible trees'. They say they can often not see trees at all and end up stuck inside of them when they accidentally run in to them. Sometimes they only see parts of trees.
No errors on the console when this occurs.
EDIT: I cleared the cache to be sure, it didn't help.

Your suggested fix did not work. The fix had to come from deeper in minecraft, so I renamed BlockTransparency internal accessors to BlockAccess and wrote a TileEntity updater there.

Fixed the spawner issue too.
So Orebfuscator 2.0.2 now fixes the bad compression error, plus now tile entity data (like spawners) are sent after ProximityHider reveals it.

Posted Dec 7, 2013Lishid, I can confirm the boot problem is now fixed, thanks for taking the time to fix this! However, I am still having a problem with new chunks generated while this plugin is running. I am seeing strange lines between biomes and trees that are "cut in half". Can your plugin affect how the map is generated?

Posted Dec 7, 2013Hey guys,
I just fixed the bad compression error!
It turns out to be a badly mapped byte array from Bukkit.
It is NOT caused by any engine modes or ProximityHider.
It is now fixed in version 2.0.1, early download is on the forum: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/38385/page-56#post-2061134

Posted Dec 6, 2013I have noticed with further testing that the map doesn't seem to develop correctly with your plugin running. I launched server without your plugiin and and a new map and the map looks fine. When I clear the map and regenerate with orbfuscator running, biomes look weird, trees are cut in half, there is a noticeable difference.
Thanks so much for looking into this and replying so fast! Top notch plugin dev as usual!
