Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Posted Sep 17, 2013Hello there.
I recently found great idea on some forums, but I forget which one. The idea was to prevent World Downloader(s) to download your world, by putting TNT & Redstone blocks into the obfuscation. What do you think? Should it work, or not ?
Thanks in advance

We used to have Orebfuscator and now, with 1.7 update coming I am intended to put it back to work. The reason I took out Orebfuscator some time ago is exactly what you said, people getting kicked due to the "bad compressed data" thing.
We use about 95 plugins, including NoLagg and ProtocolLib, so it was kinda hard to find what other plugin could be messing with Orebfuscator. Then I ended removing Orebfuscator cuz I had no solution to this.
Ive tried to disable compression, change Orebfuscator engine, disable various plugins but none really helped. I just noticed that the problem happens more often when there are more players on the same chunk and less times when there are only few connected.
I would greatly appreciate if any of you could provide some clues on how to solve this issue, which is the only thing that prevent me from using Orebfuscator.
For you to have a idea, Im willing to start over my server on 1.7 adding one by one of all plugins we use in order to hopefully find the interoperability issue causing the "bad compressed data" random kicks.
We can test it whenever you want on my server, if that helps.

I have ProtocolLib and BKCommonLib, they are the latest official updates and so is NoLagg.
I don't think i get any messages. But lets say if I do get messages, what would be the possible solution?

I probably won't be much help, but are you using ProtocolLib? If you are, there should be messages in the console from both BKCommonLib and OFC that they have detected and are using ProtocolLib. If either of those messages are missing, or contain an error instead, there's something wrong between those plugins.
Other than that, I don't have any real guesses. Maybe try "/ofc clearcache" and then re-log in, but I kinda doubt the ofc cache is the problem. Won't hurt though.

Posted Sep 11, 2013Okay so someone said if i disable "BufferedLoader" on NoLagg, orebfuscator will no longer display fake ores and blocks.
But when I do disable "BufferedLoader" on NoLagg, orebfuscator's anti-xray doesn't seem to work at all.

Ok, I see that. It's likely due to the difference in NoLagg's chunk loading algorithm with Orebfuscator's way of sorta ignoring chunks at the far edge (which in normal minecraft will not load after a long time).

ok, that only took a little over an hour of exploring to confirm. :)
To reproduce, I enabled bufferedLoader and restarted my server. Also did a "ofc clearcache" from console before logging in just to be safe. Then I ran around in caves and mineshafts until I found what's in the image below.

I've always used ProtocolLib, so I don't think that's the case. The symptom is somewhat rare (maybe encounter it once for every several hours of caving) but appears as a wall of false ores; possibly on a chunk boundary but I never checked.
But it has been a few months since I last tested, and all of the related mods have seen updates. Will try and find time to test later this evening.

Hmm, just keep close with updates for ProtocolLib.
@ThaSourceGaming
Unless if you configured wrongly, it should block all of what you said. Maybe minus the base seeing as that can't really be fully blocked.
@Wizel603
That should have work with Orebfuscator as long as ProtocolLib is installed.
@XVampiregurlX
Disable ProximityHider.
