Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Thanks lishid. I wasn't using xray on my own server, but I'll definitely retry the plugin. If it helps, the lag would increase when I got close to certain areas of the map such as where users have built houses and such. Any possible connections there?

Try increasing the value of AirGenChance and clearing the cache.
The client-side lag is usually only apparent when someone uses a Hacking client to x-ray ores. Otherwise, it could be caused by the anti freecam feature.
Remember to clear cache every time you change something for it to take effect immediately.
@Nikz11
There's no errors with WE... If you're talking about revealed fake ore, then that can be fixed simply by logging out and logging back in.

Posted Feb 25, 2013Yes, the drop is client side, and reported across multiple users. I loose around 20-30 fps and it's a very unstable drop (meaning the fps goes crazy). I've since uninstalled the plugin and fps has gone back up/stabilized.

Do a clearcache and a full reload. Try getting ProtocolLib and avoid the netty builds of Spigot.
@nicholasooo
Not normal. The default config should be fine. FPS drop is client side, right?
@xeNiumw0w
Orebfuscator is stable and lag free if you configure it to your needs. You make the choice of lag over protection, it's completely your choice.

Posted Feb 25, 2013Due to the unstable version of Orebfuscator. I wont take a risk for my player experiencing lag on my servers.
I will not use Orebfuscator for a while, I will wait until Orebfuscator is stable and lightweight for a live servers.

Posted Feb 25, 2013I'm getting fps drops on my computer when running 1.8.8. Disabling features helps a little, but the game is still unplayable.
Is this normal?

It's possible to not show the ore, yes. Though usually people pickup their ores on their way anyways, so it's not bad. And I know that bug existed since way back when cache was first introduced. I've been thinking about a lot of solutions, though all of them are either very inefficient or not fully working.

I mean, is there a possibility that with engine mode 1, it has the same bug as the engine mode 2 with caching and doesn't show players the ore? Also, could you find a way to fix the caching issue... It has existed since early 2012 or late 2011... It's very very annoying :/

Can you think of any way to fix it? This bug has existed for well over a year... It was the reason I deleted it and switched to FamilyJewles (now inactive). I do know there is engine mode 1, but that makes me think, is it also possible that it makes ores turn into stone...?

probably due to the fact that they only have diamonds enabled in their x ray client.
