Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Posted Feb 15, 2013I changed engine mode from 2 to 1, via ingame command and since it didn't worked out like I was hoping I also did it via config when server was down. Still when using xray (I use lockedchest with edited texturepack) to test it I still see engine mode 2, all the fake ores, and not like this: http://bit.ly/WuPgHU Any idea what I did wrong and how I can fix? Since in my config its on engine 1 now...

You need ProtocolLib to work with Spigot, sorry I didn't specify that.

What im saying is that the proximity hider doesn't work at all and it never did. It doesn't hide chests and i can see chests from 100 blocks distance with a Chestfinder hack

Afaik the proximity prevents people from using chestfinder hacks it displays 2 set of stoneblocks as chests. I tried using such a chestfinder hack but i could see everything around me.

It's now no longer needed. You only need to disable ProximityHider to get the same effect.
@ravand
Do you know what it does? How does it really never worked, does it not show up or does it not hide chests? If you have it enabled, you want to decrease the distance to have a bigger effect.

It's very lightweight, though provides minimal protection and can me easily circumvated by smart enough hackers.
Though it's just Engine 1 with InitialRadius 1 if you use Orebfuscator plugin anyways, so you can just disable the built in and use the plugin. Make sure you use my dev version if you are using the latest spigot.

Posted Feb 13, 2013have you heard the new spigot versions have some sort of orebfuscation built in?
im curious if you have any insight or plans regarding it
how does it compare to orebfuscator? (speed, detectability)
can you use orebfuscator's proximity hider and disable the ore hiding and use it with spigot?

@wrecktify80
How often? It might appear on some rare occasions, but people get used to them quite quickly. Though most of the cases, it only happens if you have a high latency connection. Did you change anything in the config or are you using the default config?
It usually is fast enough to hide these blocks, but on rare occasions, they show up. If it's due to slow connection, then there's not much you can do apart from increasing InitialRadius to 2, which takes more CPU on your server side.
