Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Air cavities causes clients to LAG and CRASH because the minecraft client tries to render every face of block that is exposed to transparent blocks. air and chests are transparent blocks, thus making the client trying to render every face of everything in the fake caves.

Posted Feb 1, 2012I've tried to add to random blocks AIR (0) and CHESTS (54). I works great. But when chests are in random block it have bad effect on client's FPS. I leave only AIR, but it crashes (after 30 sec or minute) of my friends' client (and no bad effect to me (server was installed on my own computer) - no fps down, no lags and great protection even from X-RAYs "V" mode (or invisible blocks in texture pack).
Have you idea how I can prevent clients crash?
And may you can add special mode: place air cavity just below the surface, and randomly under the ground?
Examples: 1. Walhack texture pack. Orebfuscator enabled, with no random air: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/109/noair.png/ You can see all caves and mines!!!! :(
2. Wallhack texture pack. Orebfuscator enabled (air included to random block list) http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/687/airwalhachktxtr.png/ You can see hidden room, but no any mines and caves. I think it great.
3. X-Ray cave mode. Orebfuscator enabled (air included to random block list) http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/217/airxrayvmode.png/

We saw this once with the test4 version.
It was on a dev server and a new default world. Only occurred within the initial spawn area(like 16 total chunks).
It didn't happen when we added new worlds or generated new ones on the server so we ignored it.

See forum post.
@Switch0r
Update everything you got (Orebfuscator, CB to latest Recommended build, Spout to 721 if you have spout)
@re4397
Try updating NoLagg to the latest version. If that doesn't work, disable ChunkSending in NoLagg.

Add to InitialRadius (increament to 2, if not 3) You can also add to UpdateRadius (increase to 3 or 4)

Posted Feb 1, 2012Theres blocklag for stones and some other blocks (but not for e.g. dirt) and players posted screenshots where the fake ores were actually exposed.
Is there a way to fix those issues? Maybe via some config changes as im not really sure what values would be good for threads or the different radius settings. We have enough CPU power and RAM, so this shouldn't be a problem.
We are also using Spout in the most recent Version.

Following up on this, just realized something else that's probably of consequence. The X coordinate (or maybe it was Z, one of them) of the player standing in the hallway was -0.5. If the player was to stand where the fake random blocks were, the X value would be 0.5. Maybe Orebfuscator doesn't always correctly realize that blocks on the positive/negative boundary are next to each other.

Worst case scenario, you can stop the server, replace the config and start the server, but I can try something... Use this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18947504/Orebfuscator.jar

It still doesn't work. I change the config file then I save it and then I do /ofc reload in-game but when I go back to the config file, it's at default settings.

Hello, I've had to stop using Orebfuscator due to some of my players seeing fake ores in place of regular stone, I myself haven't had this problem so I can't tell you exactly what is happening. But when I use the plugin apparently for some of my players at random times it shows fake ores of all kinds in place of regular stone.
I'll give it another go, but it would help if you could clarify this bug/issue and help me figure out why it's happening to stop it. Thanks.

More than 150 installs and you're the only one reporting it. Can you post the error? Just tested, no problems on my side, using 1.1-R3 + spout 721 + Orebfuscator 1.3.3
