Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

It's a problem with both Spigot's system and my plugin.
Spigot checks when loading chests to see whether the have the corresponding TileEntityChest loaded from the world, and if there is no such chest, they throw an error and put an empty TileEntityChest there.
Now, I'm assuming that Orebfuscator calls to get the TileEntityChest before Spigot have the chest it fully loaded (during its async loading), which means that the chest in question is "non-existent" and thus replaced with an empty one.
@Adrenalineq
Packet51 is already obfuscated by Orebfuscator.
@ronfkingswanson
That is possibly from the Chunk Cache not being free'd after they're closed. Got it fixed :D Yay~
@Puremin0rez
Yeah, I really did not think Compression would take that much processing! Now that that's out of the way, I can spend some more time testing with Spigot.

Posted Jan 4, 2013The new Orebfuscator is a god send. It's so buttery smooth now. CPU increase isn't even noticeable.
I really, really, reaaaaallyyyy, appreciate the work.
Now if you could solve the Spigot issue.... that would be even better :)

whatever you did with 1.8.4 fixed a major memory leak for me. Now my server never drops below 60% free memory, where before that it would hover around 20% and get critically lower, requiring a reboot.

Is it possible for this to be fixed? Not sure if this is spigot's fault or your plugins XD

Before, it was 9. Now it's changeable.
It's basically a tradeoff between Processing and Bandwidth. Adding more levels increase CPU usage significantly, but decreases the bandwidth needed, and vice-versa.
You could try playing around with it to see what values are best for your setup.

Posted Jan 4, 2013What are the performance gains/losses associated with no compression vs maximum compression? Either way I set it, my upload bandwidth caps out on a player login with this new version.

There's something wrong with Spigot that I haven't fixed. FAntiXray doesn't trigger this Spigot fault since it does not process chunks asynchronously (I.e. It processes everything on the main thread, potentially lagging the server badly when players spike).

Why with Orebfuscator i always have the error "unable to locate sign at <coords>", and with FantiXray i never get this? (I use Spigot).

Posted Jan 3, 2013also it gives server admins some security to know that mods they depend on are accessible and updatable even if the authors move on to other things

taking code from the jar is certainly one way, I'm not sure about posting the source, but I will be pushing all my commits out soon.
I'll have a look to see if I made mistakes while porting back ProxiityHider.

seriously i just tested it a few times, for some reason having the proximityhiderid to 0 (air) makes the chests not hide, but the others do, im also using protocollib (the newest version) if that makes any difference. does it make any difference speed or qualitywise to use protocollib?
also will you ever be sharing your source again? it is very valuable to many of your users im sure to know that if for whatever reason, your source is available.
besides no one is fooled by fraudulent copy cats, no one respects or uses their tools, they havent earned your rep, and they can also steal your code from your jar anyway

don't think so... If it's 1 then it changes blocks to stone, and if it's 0 it changes them to air.
@Intangir
Not recently after a wild copy cat appeared, and talking to him wasn't very effective.
@LordKainzo
Uhhhhhhhh still no :( Spigot still being a big problem for this chest issue...

That worked, it just couldnt create the folder. So, next issue - still seeing the CHEST deletion issue that MunityCraft reported - any head way on that?
