Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

I was testing it since your last reply. I do agree with ronfkingswanson. Doesn't seem to be working: http:i50.tinypic.com/nns45c.png

@ronfkingswanson
Nothing changed since then... I'm not sure what's not working for you, but everything seems to work on my side.

@SyntaxCinemaHD
Core obfuscation doesn't obfuscate non-opaque blocks (any block not taking exactly full size of a block)
@Senophoe
It hides stuff like dungeons. Basically, it hides everything exposed to the air but in the dark. Default engines don;t touch them.

Something isn't clear to me: isn't it a waste to use DarknessHideBlocks to hide ores if you have any of the engines enabled? The ores will be obfuscated already, so DarknessHideBlocks won't actually add any extra protection. Is it right?

Cache is pretty safe to use. It used to be very buggy months ago. Though it shouldn't have corrupted your world...
@Senophoe
Yes, but everything relies on the main engine. If you set enabled to false, then the chunk wouldn't pass through the obufscation engine. Try engine 1 for minimal impact.

What I don't actually understand is this: wouldn't setting Enabled to true actually enable Engine Mode 1/2? I don't really want them, just the DarknessHideBlocks thing. Or is it necessary to have the Engine Modes enabled in order to use it? Or am I misunderstanding it? XD

Posted Dec 28, 2012How exactly do I hide blocks that are in darkness? Basically, I want to protect against X-ray by simply hiding diamond blocks that are in darkness, and not using that scramble thing. I'll be using a map generator that generates diamonds far from Lava blocks and Air, that way all diamonds will be in darkness and hidden by Orebfuscator.
Simply setting
will work?
I'm trying to mess with it, but no luck so far...

ProtocolLib is optional, and is only absolutely necessary to solve plugin-compatibility issues that are caused by packet hooking.
Though it is a good idea to install it as it will prevent problems if there are any, and it does not use extra resources as a plugin.

Posted Dec 28, 2012Sorry for all the attention and confusion as of late, lishid.
We try not to moderate/hide information over at admincraft, but that post was over-speculation. Any dev knows they need to test and break their own code to see how it can be done.
You've done wonders for the community, and I really appreciate the work you've put into this.
Edit: Oh, and since you have protoclib as a dependency, you may want to check the dependency box and add it.
