Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:

This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

DOWNLOAD
Please read compatibility information before downloading as not all releases work with all versions of CraftBukkit.
Latest version should be on BukkitDev, or as a release on the Github page: https://github.com/lishid/Orebfuscator/releases
Please also download ProtocolLib and install it in the plugins folder.
- Is compatible only with version 4.0.0 or newer.
- For 1.9.4 support, you must use build 277 or newer of Protocollib 4.0
- For 1.10 support, you must use build 293 or newer of Protocollib 4.0
- For 1.11 support, please use latest stable builds of ProtocolLib for 1.11.

Features
- Advanced algorithm that hides ore, chest and and anything you specify in the configuration
- Spout compatible, but optional
- No modifications to CraftBukkit.jar is needed

Usage
Install:
- Copy "orebfuscator-4.4.3.jar" to your plugins folder
- If you're upgrading from Orebfuscator.jar, move the contents of the "Orebfuscator3" folder to the "Orebfuscator4" folder
- Restart your server.

Metrics
- This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that anonymous information of your OS and setup will be collected and sent to mcstats.org
- Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Posted Aug 21, 2012begins after a few hours lag, big lag CPU usage larger than the previous version(1.3.1 r1.0 + ofc vs 1.3.1 r2.0 + ofc) on the main core 20%-30% more. Client side a cut occur, a similar effect as Micro stuttering ;d
and a much greater use of ram, I do not know what to blame OFC or Craftbukkit, because I do not like to test with disabled plugin with so many players

Yeah, it's hardcoded that the world has to be a normal world, though now that you say it, I might add new config options.

Did you by any chance code it so that it does not Obfuscate maps with world type the-end?
Incase you wonder why... its because our world is a fully featured / fully generated normal map that was converted into world type the-end for spooky effect / atmosphere / intimidation
So while it works great in normal-world types it does not work in the-end types.
After all that work generating the map and getting actually getting the chunks working in theend I dont know what to do now...

Posted Aug 21, 2012Hello I just wanted to post and say that 1.5.17 works beautifully for me. Thank you for your time and effort working on this project. If you did not do this I dont think anyone else would.
Also i have the perfect solution to the issue of players falling into the void, spawning into a wall, spawning in the air, and teleports sending players into wild directions. If you could go right over to the page of no cheat plus... and submit a pull request.. to pull that garbage dev link for 1.3.1 off their page so that they submit working versions the "proper" way that would solve 99% of your problems :)
Their 1.3.1 dev version caused me 8 hours of head ache trying to figure out why people were spawning in the wall or void.... Perhaps if they followed the same rules as other developers and had to wait in line to publish their jar file they might ensure their product was working before releasing and causing havoc to other developers (and server admins)
It took me and my staff sooo many hours to realize that even though i took nocheatplus off the server that people were still in the void or in the wall because thats where they were when i shut the server off... so we would put it back on thinking it was not nocheat...and took it off and back on... oh my god what a cycle....

Posted Aug 20, 2012Current Version as of Aug. 21st 2012: When players login or use warps players end up falling into a void. This does not happen every time but I would say about 15-25% of the time. This never happened on the version for 1.2.5 MC.
Something you should look into maybe? I would be glad to supply you with more info, just pm me with what you want.

Well, there's a lot of digging into CraftBukkit's coding which could be done fairly easily, though it takes time and patience to learn all about what exactly is done in there that produces the results. To this day, I haven't heard of anyone interested in being a maintainer of this project because of its deep integration with CB and minecraft code. Also I don't think anyone wants to waste time downgrading a plugin...

Posted Aug 20, 2012Do you have a version of this for 1.7.3? It says that the version for 1.8.1 was version 0.9, so is it possible that 0.8 or 0.7 could have been for 1.7.3? I host a 4 GB 1.7.3 BETA server, just for the good old days and nostalgia, and really need this plugin. I have Ore to Client Obfuscation, which I spent 4 hours searching for and ended up finding on a Korean website, but it doesn't get the job done too well. It blocks X-ray, yes, but it doesn't block chest/cave finders. If you had a 1.7.3 BETA version of this plugin, that would be great!
