Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

8 cores @ 2.7ghz, between 30 and 100 players usually but with lag when updating to 1.3 I reduced it to 50.
Maybe it is because the cache is taking a very long time to generate? I pre-generated the world with a border, and players can teleport to a random point on the map once a hour using a command. This spreads people out all over the server, which means there is always chunks in use. Because none of them have been cache'd before and are now all being cache'd at once, would this result in the unplayable lag?

Ok, I'll see if i can get garbage collection to work harder for you. Might need you to test a temp version soon..

Increasing memory is not an option, unfortunately. Besides it runs perfectly with 14 online without Orebfuscator, so maybe 2-6 should be possible, specifically if i did /ofc disable, but ok ... .:p

The new MapChunkBulk packet from minecraft 1.3.1 does take a lot of memory more than usual (more specifically, 5 times more per packet), and could mean more memory consumption. You could try different garbage collectors to see if they perform better, or just increase the allocated memory.
@stoneharry
How many cores are on the server (and what's the CPU), and how many players are on the server?
@zh32
Could you try build 2267 with Orebfuscator alone? (http://dl.bukkit.org/downloads/craftbukkit/view/01262_1.3.1-R0.1/)
thanks.

Posted Aug 3, 2012I'm having the same problems as Pr4w with build 2281 and the default config. The problem persists when I run Orebfuscator alone.
After disabling Orebfuscator I'm not disconnected by the server.

Posted Aug 3, 2012Hi,
First of all, thanks for providing a great plugin with great support. :) So many servers including mine are using this, and it helps to keep a healthy economy.
But I am having issues using this with 1.3.1. I am using the latest development build, but I cannot seem to find a optimal setting that remains playable. As soon as I enable this, the server lags out to the point where it doesn't even listen to a restart server command.
Yes I am using the one you posted about dropbox and 1.3.1. Here are my settings: http://pastebin.com/GJU7uGti
Do you have any idea what I can do to address this? As soon as I remove the plugin, everything becomes lightning fast again. The Java virtual machine has 18GB allocated to it.
Thanks, Harry

It has roughly 1G memory (hosted server, 14 slots), and very few were online then. Before Orebfuscator has run without any problems on 1.2.5, the maps did change though.

How much memory did you allocate to the Java VM?
@Pr4w
Oh, what does it show on the client's side? I'm guessing End of Stream?

Read down, you're using a version of Orebfuscator for MC1.2.5.
There's a test version linked below in the comments for 1.3.1.
