This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

My point exactly. They told you. Do you know how much a dedicated 100Mpbs INTERNET connection is? Well over 200 dollars, more like 300-400.
No offense, but i doubt that's the case, hard for me to believe. I think what they mean is you have a dedicated network interface card at 100Mbps. You share total internet with everyone leaving the data center which could be 100-1000's of customers they have. My 5Mpbs up dedicated at home is 200$. FIOS Fiber with Verizon is 35Mbps up for 200$. Yes they are a data center so they get whole sale bandwidth but even so its shared leaving the data center. Whats the data center name? I will look it up and find all the information about they're external connections to the fiber back bone along with the total customers they serve. Now I am interested.
Sorry I am not trying to rain on your parade, but merely inform you.

I have placed a 100 player cap on my server. It is 100% dedicated to nothing but Minecraft and no other network services besides constant backups being siphoned off at a 2Mbps speed cap.
I know what you're talking about. My line is a dedicated line, I just asked the host about it to be sure though. I wish I did have 1000Mbps but they wouldn't give it to me.
Excellent, sounds like I am good to go. =)

Increase UpdateRadius to more than the super pick radius. (though you might be causing lots of lag if you go more than 4 or 5)

Posted May 7, 2012Is it possible to prevent blocks revealed by the WorldEdit superpick (area pick) to be obfuscated? It is an ability granted to a user group that contains highly confused and upset members. Any thoughts appreciated, thanks!

So how many people are you hosting on this 100 Mbps? Is this upstream/downstream? Is it shared with other network services?
People brag about all sorts of connections stuff and or up sell it to other people to make it sound great when most people do not have a true understanding of what they are using or buying. I know this, I work in the networking industry and analyze network speeds and issues all often.
100Mpbs is the speed of a typical Ethernet interface, we all can say that we have that, in fact I have Gigabitethernet, 1,000Mpbs on my server and router/switches. When you buy or sell services, of course you will tell the person what sounds better! Oh yes your getting 100Mpbs connection. They neglect to tell you if its shared with other servers and or what not.
Lets say your right!
You have dedicated upstream 100mpbs connection, that would support 200 people approximately with Orebfuscator running and a normal set of plugins. Not including any other service you may run on the server or in the data center/external connection at the core layer of the networking model.

A little lazy to actually write up an API, but you can check for Orebfuscator's presence and change DisabledWorlds here:
(it's a static method) lishid.orebfuscator.OrebfuscatorConfig.setDisabledWorlds(String worldName, boolean disabled)

Posted May 7, 2012hy lishid,
is it possible to get an api to set disabledworlds on the fly for new loaded worlds? some of my users has problems when they use templecraft and your plugin. so the easiest way could be to disable the worlds which my plugin loads (because in this worlds no one can destroy blocks ;) ). the problem is that my plugin use non constant world names so people cant set the worlds in your config file.

Thanks for the update and all your hard work! I personally still get a lot of lag with 1.4.7. With 1.4.5 for the most part it could handle it.
@Underbalanced
It has nothing to do with my connection (100Mbps in a data centre) proven by iftop. It's not my hardware (SSD, 16GB RAM, quad core 3.4Ghz). If Minecraft can't run on that I'm done with it. And the server isn't overloaded. It only has a few people on it. Not to mention, it didn't have this problem before. And downgrading to 1.4.5 it goes back to normal again.
I don't think it's necessarily the plugin that is the problem, though it obviously is what's causing the lag due to high CPU usage in this case. I think it's Minecraft in general that's the problem and the fact it's written in Java which tends to be extremely resource intensive in the first place. I know there is alternate software available but I doubt they would have such a selection of plugins and built up communities to go along with them. So, in time I guess we shall see what happens.

Posted May 6, 2012You people complaining about lag... have no idea do you?
If you use nolagg, /nolagg examine, you will see its not the plugin or your hardware.
Its your internet connection. This plugin will send extra packet data to your players clients. On my measurements from a few months ago, with this plugin, you will need 3x more bandwidth per player.
For example where you might have a 30 person capacity before this plugin and after you would have 10. This was a few months ago, so it should be a little better now.
BUT YOU NEED TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT YOUR INTERNET. Not hardware. I use 5mbps upload/upstream 30 people without it, 10 people with plugin. What does this mean?
I know most people unless you have fios probably do not have more than 5mbps. Cable cost 80-200 for that upload speed in most areas.

Probably other plugins is causing the problem I have two big servers, and I do not have any problem at 150 online and Anti-Xray :) You should first look for the problem somewhere else
As for me, you're a little too weak processor as Minecraft server. The speed counts minecrafcie the first core. On my server, amd 3.6 GHz 16Gb 6core Minecraft framework itself works poorly for it to xeon1270 and 32GB of RAM, it makes no impression, there is little difference whether it is switched on an anti-xray. This is just one of the opportunities I was looking in your place for plugins which have problem. Sorry for the poor English ;p
