Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Didnt implement anything like that. I hate it when people come in and say "It doesnt work" That's why it's there. If you are annoyed then disable deobfuscate for op (/ofc disable op) and (/ofc disable perms)

Orebfuscator doesn't actually change the blocks. So it doesn't make anything rarer. Different block initialRadius doesn't change anything. People usually just stick to 0, 1, or 2 for everything. Adding an extra check for the block type vs radius is also going add to the CPU usage.

Posted May 1, 2012Next thing should be adding different updateradius/initialradius for different blocks. Like one with an updateradius of 2 and you list diamond and gold underneath it and updateradius of 5 and IRon underneath it. It will have different updateradius for the two settings. I know this is straying away from the actual "Anti-Xray" but there really no way you can make a type of block rare in MineCraft, thanks.

That's even more calculations to do to check if a block belongs to the first layer. Also, hacking clients will soon come up with a clever hack to hide anything that is 'first layer' and nothing will work.
@xGamingDudex
I can't hide air. If i do that, then it would be problematic for non-cheating players.
@SyntaxBlitz
Exactly.
@ryvix
Because then it means the server have to send in data gradually, increasing network usage , processing needed to determine where each new block goes, etc. Also, it might be problematic if players have a slightly slower connection and is moving fast (i.e. moving in minecart, flying in creative, etc)
Also, you don't want to calculate the visible range of the players on the server, that's just too much to handle (remember that you're doing this for every player).
@Poopfish
Sending everything defeats the point of not sending everything. And again, you're trying to calculate the viewing range of every player on every tick if they move. Server's going to die with that amount of calculations.

Pretty sure it is easier to just send everything than have to find out what players are looking at, and calculate which block data to send.

I kind of think like that would make sense if the server didn't send the unnecessary data to the client. I've often thought it must be a problem with the server that its sending data to the client that isn't necessary for the client to have. It doesn't seem to take into account that it can't see beyond the first block. For example, why is there random glitches and you can see right into the ground and see lava and mines and caves? That is just messed up if you ask me. Why should I even be able to see anything beyond the first block my sight comes to? Wouldn't the entire server be less resource intensive if it just didn't send all that extra information in the first place? I am sure there is probably some sort of technical reason but I don't know what it could be.

This would work for existing xrayers, but it's not like this plugin isn't well-known: people would just modify clients to not care about the first layer.

Posted May 1, 2012Can u make a "cave finder" preventer, sins you can use and will bypass the orebfuscator: U have for instants the cave finder in Nodus, if u could use the same methode for finding caves perhaps u could make it so that the client thinks that it is only stone there and there for not see it.

Posted May 1, 2012lishid, I have got an idea how to improve the performance. What about changing only the "first layer" of obfuscated blocks? That would drastically improve performance, and most of the X-rayers still won't be able to see through.
