Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Posted Apr 3, 2012Thank you very much. More infos is when I am OP and in the server, everything is fine. CPU usage at around 5% If I deop myself. 2012-04-03 19:23:37 [SEVERE] [OFC] null 2012-04-03 19:23:37 [SEVERE] java.lang.NullPointerException Starting to Spam and CPU usage goes up to 99-100% If I OP myself, it goes back to normal.
So I tried to deop and then stop server and log in as a deop. The 2012-04-03 19:35:58 [SEVERE] [OFC] null 2012-04-03 19:35:58 [SEVERE] at lishid.orebfuscator.obfuscation.Calculations.Obfuscate(Calculations.java:188)
Starting to spam and map won't load, just start falling into endless pit but bounce back every millisecond probably because the server know there is something there :]

That looks like parts of the chunk being cut off? Can you provide more context as to when these problems appear?

No that is a WE error, not caused by my plugin. Many people sees the name of my plugin in the stacktrace and blame it. that's WRONG. My plugin is only a proxy that redirects packets in a certain class inside CraftBukkit. It doesn't affect other plugins, and specifically the errors generated by them.

What config are you running on? Read https://github.com/lishd/Orebfuscator/wiki/How-to-properly-configure-Orebfuscator for more help on configuring the server to reduce CPU load.

SInce I had to disable this plugin, I can't give you an exact number, but I believe with an average load of players (8-15) CPU load was usually around 100-200% (using multiple cores) while without the plugin and 5 players online currently, load is 20-40%.
Hope this helps, I'd really like to be able to continue using this plugin. :D

There hasn't been a new version of PEX since the beggining of March.
Yes, I do use PEX on my server, and I was watching the console while getting the large world-holes, there was no output. Processing threads is already set to two on a dedicated four core processor. I doubt it's a configuration problem, as the configuration has not changed since the update from CraftBukkit RB1 (Minecraft 1.2.4) to CB#2130, and everything was working well prior to that.

Also, did any of you took a look at the console when people log in with holes? It might have some errors, which can help me fix the problem.
EDIT: Do you guys use PEX? That could be causing problems (during permission check when chunks are processed).

Yeah, PEX probably screwed something up there. Most likely a new update of PEX caused trouble?
@mrcheesete0
Did you try updating Orebfuscator?
@AQUA_NINJA
Maybe you can ask the PEX manager... He/she might have an idea of what's going on.
@nLocus
World holes for extended periods: Increase ProcessingThreads. It's likely that many players logged in / teleported in a short amount of time, which resulted in many chunks being queue'd up.
Update failing most of the time would be caused by your server's capacity problem, unless you misconfigured something. Either your network or CPU.
Please read this to see if it can help you increase the responsiveness of your server. https://github.com/lishd/Orebfuscator/wiki/How-to-properly-configure-Orebfuscator
