OnTime
OnTime
Now every MineCraft server can track the playtime (current login, daily, weekly, monthly, and all time) for all players with this powerful, full function plugin. With OnTime a “top 10” list can be generated in game, current and total playing statistics can be displayed (also in game), and daily/weekly/monthly reports of all players can be generated and viewed (off line).
Administrators can define OnTime Rewards which will result in econ amounts, items (including enchanted items and potions), item kits, group add/delete, group promotion/demotion, permission grant/denial, command executions, loyalty points, personalized messages, and XP to be automatically issued to a player when they have achieved a specified amount of daily, weekly, monthly, or total playtime on the server.
Rewards can also be issued when players refer other players to the server, voted for the server, played for a specified number of different days, been absent from the server for a specified number of days, shops with their accumulated points or wealth, upon player's death, or they achieve status as a top player. A built in Votifier Listener makes issuing of rewards for web-site voting a snap. Vault is used so OnTime Rewards and permissions are supported by multiple economy and permission plugins.

Plugin Notes
IMPORTANT NOTES on V4.1.4
Recompiled V4.1.3 using Spigot API for MC 1.9. No other changes or fixes
IMPORTANT NOTES on V4.1.3
The new outputs for vote and refer daily, weekly, monthly totals are not automatically added to the "/ontime <player name>" display. If you want to see this data, then you will need to edit the "output.yml" file.
IMPORTANT NOTES on V4.1.2
- The primary purpose of this update was to address some lingering issues with duplicate MySQL records created when a player changed names.
- In addition to address some base code issues, the "/ontime uuid merge" command was modified to require that one or two player names, or the keyword 'all' be provided when using this command. If a single player name is provided with the command any records with the same UUID as that associated with the provided name will be combined into a single record. The player name associated with that UUID will be the name specified in the command. If 'all' is specified OnTime will merge all records found for each unique UUID..
- If two player names are specified in the command then records containing those two player names will be merged into a single record, and they will be associated with the second player specified and its UUID.
- A new configuration parameter has been added to have ontime auto merge duplicate player records for a given UUID, upon the next login of player seen using such UUIDs. It is recommended that this method be used to correct the duplicate record issue over the 'merge' or 'clean' commands.
- Caution should be taken when the 'ontime uuid replace' and 'ontime uuid merge all' commands are used on systems with large player databases. It may take a very long time for these commands to complete, and should only be run at periods of low player traffic. While these command are running, all OnTime functions will be suspended and players will not receive playtime credit; they will not receive rewards; and votes etc. will not be counted.
- There are still some significant issues with OnTime working properly when 'multiServerEnable' is set to TRUE. It is recommended that until I get these issued addressed that this OnTime function not be used.
IMPORTANT NOTES on V4.1.1
This update fixes issues with duplicate UUID records created when player's change names. This fix will address all future changes but does not directly address the existing duplicates. For this I have extended the "uuid" commands to include an option that will 'merge' the duplicate records into a single record. Please see HERE for more information on the "uuid" command, and specifically the "merge" keyword.
Prior to upgrading to OnTime V4.1.x you MUST have already upgraded to OnTime v3.13.4. Attempting to upgrade from any version prior to V3.13.4 will not properly auto update any of the OnTime YML configuration files. So if you are using any version prior to v3.13.4, load that version first into your plugin directory, restart your server or re-load your plugins, then replace with V4.1.x and do another server restart or plugin reload.
IMPORTANT NOTES on V4.1.x
This version of OnTime contains a significant software re-write in order to be compatible with MineCraft V1.8, with support for UUIDs, and changeable player names. This version was fully tested with Spigot/Bukkit v1.8.1, and this will be the primary MIneCraft server base supported. OnTime V4.1.x will NOT WORK with Bukket v1.25 nor Tekkit classic. It should still work with the last Bukkit releases (1.7.2 / 1.7.9 ), but no significant testing has been done with these releases, so servers using those versions are better off using the latest OnTime V3.x release.
The "online tracking" function still DOES NOT WORK properly in a multi-server configuration. If you are using a single OnTime MySQL database to store data from multiple servers, conflicts will arise between the servers, and errors and some server lag may result. Until I can get this corrected, please disable this function on all multi-server systems.
From OnTime/config.yml:
# Enable if Online player status should be tracked in MYSQL Table onlineTrackingEnable: false
OnTime will automatically modify the contents of your config.yml, playerData.yml, and output.yml when you upgrade from any release previous to v4.1.x. OnTime will put a copy of your current versions of these files into the plugins/OnTime/backup folder prior to this update, so you can revert back if you find the need to downgrade back to an earlier version of OnTime.
Please see the release notes page for additional information about changes that have occurred since your last upgrade.
"ontime.*" Permission Group
In v3.11.0 support for the "ontime.*" wildcard permission was removed. This was causing problems based on how OnTime sometime uses negated permissions. This has been replaced with better defined 'recommended' wildcard permission sets for 'admin', 'moderator', and 'player' roles.
ontime.track Permission
In v3.10.0 a permission string ("ontime.track") was added, which allows admins to enable/disable OnTime tracking of individual players. When this is set to "false" OnTime will not process players upon login, nor will it create OnTime records for new players. This permission is "true" by default, and most permission plugins will pick up this default setting, and server owners will see no change from previous versions of OnTime. But some permission plugins (e.g. bPermissions, others?) do not pick up the default and treat this as "false" for all players, which effectively disables the OnTime plugin. In this case of such permission plugins, the "ontime.track" should be added to the base set of permissions for all groups whose users are to be tracked by OnTime.
Online Support
If I am online you may find me here for IRC
bpermissions plugin compatibility
- If you are going to use OnTime rewards, make sure that the "groups:" keyword is set to "- all" instead of "- global" when using bPermissions.
- Make sure to add the permission string "ontime.track" to your base group, or all groups for which you want tracking enabled.
Integration with AFK Terminator
I have an independent plugin "AFKTerminator" that detects and potentially eliminates AFK Machines. An "AFK Machine" allows a player to avoid "AFK" detection through continual movement. See the [|Other Function] page for more details.
Integration with OnSign
There is a second companion plugin for OnTime, which I have named OnSign. OnSign allows players to create MC signs that will show a player's current online/offline status, time of last login/logout, and their daily/weekly/monthly and total scores for playtime, votes, and referrals. With OnSign you can also create signs showing the "top" players for playtime, votes, and referrals. With OnSign v1.3.0 or later OnSign supports signs that interact with the OnTime Shop rewards, allowing players to pick their own rewards by spending Points or 'coins'.
OnSign and OnTime version compatibility
- OnTime v3.8.1 or earlier will work with OnSign v1.0.0
- OnTime v3.8.2 - v3.9.0 will work with OnSign v1.1.0
- OnTime v3.9.1 - v3.10.3 will work with OnSign v1.2.0
- OnTime v3.11.0 or later will work with OnSign v1.3.0
- OnTime v4.1.x or later (may work with OnSign v1.3.0 (I have not tested this yet, but it should still be working)
Automated Update Check
OnTime performs an automated check to see if there is a new version of the plugin available for download. It will NOT download new versions, but simply notify the server administrator that one exists via console messages. By default, this function is enabled, but can be disabled by setting "updateCheckEnable" in the OnTime/config.yml to 'false'.

Posted Feb 24, 2013So I have a weird request. Is there a perm node to deny the use of OnTime? Here is the situation: I have a jail that uses the jail plugin and it moves users to the group prisoners. Now, with my ontime rewards system, people are rewarded rank when they play. Thus, after a few hours people move up in rank. BUT when you are jailed you are sent to the jail, reduced in rank, and have to serve your time. Now when they log out and then login, OnTime reads their time and promotes them accordingly. It does a great job, thing is, can I prevent that from happening? What I want is a node to disable prisoners from having reward checks so that they cannot be promoted while in jail. EDIT: I think I found the node, is this it?

Exactly :D. Example, a player will be rewarded 10 coins per 10 minutes of being in the server.

I am not sure what you mean. Do you want to reward them every "real" hour?
Maybe an example will help.

I've done a moderate amount if research on the subject and most of the Stats plugins has either been abandoned or are focusing on the player stats, for example that player X has killed Y monsters, or broken Z blocks.
I think that might be fun to watch once or twice but does not really add much value either to the players or admins.
I would rather see "Admin Related" statistics, that will make it easier for me as a server admin to develop and enhance my server, like a webmaster does with Google Analytics.
In my vision I would like to see graphs and info that shows that for example 40% of my Players that are logged on between 18-22:00 are from Sweden. While 30% are from Italy, which would make me consider getting some Italian mods who can assist. And that during nighttime 02:00-07:00 a lot of players join from Brazil ... hmm.
Or that I can see that the most common command the users use is /PVPARENA while almost no one uses /Towny. Possibly also that a lot of players try to use /PLOTME which I dont even have installed, that could make me consider installing it.
How long does the average player stays on? How many players have logged on for the first time in the last week and how long did they stay online?
How many returning users and for how long?
Which of the Worlds attract most players? Which NPC Traders are most used?
Which materials are most sold / bought / in total?
Memory, CPU, TPS usage, current number of users online graphs.
A lot of stats that's interesting for me as a Server Admin to fine tune and enhance the server, but probably not that interesting to the users. :)

Yep, no shortage of things to do. You have some good ideas here, so could you please open up enhancement tickets and I will get them worked into future release plans.
Here are my thoughts: Each day w/ X time: You cannot do this today, but this is definitely doable, but will take some thought on how to enhance how the plugin tracks award issue criteria.
Top Stats:
You can do the "current" top month/week/day with "ontime top" command.
Previous/ Previous 2 - would require extending the storage to retain a memory of previous day/week/month, so it would require MySQL dataStorage option. Same goes for the "last xx" days/weeks/months. This is would be all one request, so open a single ticket for this one.
Top AFK: This is in development right now. Other server owners want this to monitor their admins to see how much time they are actively working and not just logged in. Also, can be way for you to find the players most often tying up your slots if your server is heavily loaded.
Your last one here is really two requests. One is to expand the amount of server data that Ontime collects, and the second is to generate some HTML graphs.
This is the second request this week for graphs, so I'll have to give this some serious consideration of how soon I could implement something. I know that there are other plugins out there that do statistical analysis of server utilization, have you looked into any of those?

Posted Feb 21, 2013Hi, it looks like you have no shortage of features, and I guess your "todo" list is long with requests. Though I would like to add a few items to that list, and possibly bump some already requested feature towards the top.
I've not been able to figure out if this is doable today, but how about rewarding players who logon each day and plays for X amount of time?
- Reward {player] after being online everyday at least {10 minutes} for {3} consecutive days
- Reward {player] after being online at least {30 minutes} for {4} days in {1} week
The Top stats are mostly interesting at the end of the Week or Month. So would it be possible to implement something like:
- Top current month / week / day (shows stats for this period since the last reset)
- Top previous month / week / day (show stats for the previous timeperiod)
- Top previous 2 month / week / day (For example, i March would show Top users in January as its 2 months old)
- Top last 20 days / weeks / months (shows total stats for period XX until Now)
Top AFK
Not very useful and more of a fun stats. Show Top (detected) AFK users.
And finally, something I estimate would make this plugin a Must have for more or less all large servers out there. Some nice graphs in the HTML Reports, which we can show on the server homepages.
- Graph for the number of users online in the last 30 / 60 / 90 days showing
- Max users online per hour / day
- Average users online per hour / day
- Average time spent online and which World/Server they were on.
- Unique / New / Returning number of users online
- Combined with Essentials GeoIP, show where users come from.
- Possibly the most used Commands (or APIs?) with a White and Black list to include or exlude commands. To help track which Mods are most and least used.
Basically a small "Google Analytics" but for Minecraft servers.
If you think this is too much work, please PM me and we can discuss a Donation as compensation for your hard work.

See my exchange below with Tune389, as he is looking for the same thing, which OnTime does not support today. Looks like I need to add a "group add" and "group remove" reward type. Is not too big a change, so if you help by opening up an enhancement ticket ill work this into the next update.
See this section of the "advanced rewards" tutorial for how to add temporary permissions. That tutorial is for an automated method using voting, but that is only one way to do it. If you want to do it manually it would be something like this:
/ ontime rw add denial worldedit.*
/ ontime rw Indi 1
( assuming the rewardID for that denial reward is '1')
Then when you want to start the clock to take this permission away you execute the following:
/ ontime rw set 1 < playerName> 1h 15m
( again the '1' is the rewardID )

Posted Feb 21, 2013I am looking to add a subgroup to players after having played for 24 hours total.
Normally I add the subgroup "trusted" to the "member" group of a player after they have been on the server at least 24 hours (this gives perms for fire lava, etc) I do this with GM by manually entering the command "/manuaddsub PlayerIGN trusted"
I understand there is a way to promote a player to a new group (ie from default to member, or member to builder), but is there a way to just add a subgroup? (/ontime rewards add group trusted 24h)
----
Also I was curious what the best way would be to remove a specific permission after a specific amount of time? For example I want to give one of my moderators access to the WorldEdit group in GM for 1 hour 15 min. Normally I manually add the subgroup or the direct permission (/manuaddsub PlayerIGN worldedit) or (/manuaddp PlayerIGN worldedit.*) and then later when he/she is finished manually remove (/manudelsub) or (/manudelp).
After manually adding the subgroup or perm, is there a simple command i can run with ontime to just remove the subgroup or permission node after xx time?
Thanks for your help.

Players can only be referred once. Once a player executes sucessfully the " referred by" command, they cannot execute it again. This is base function and there is nothing you need to set up.

Posted Feb 21, 2013I don't know if its already included but is it possible to add a function that already referred players can't get referred by others again? I'm sorry for my bad english but this question is very important for me. If this is already included how can I change that no one can get referred again?

Thank you. I understand now. Unfortunately, the plugin does not work exactly like you want. A "group" reward is always considered to be a rank change, which means OnTime will remove one group from a player before adding a new group. The group removed is always the one latest in the group priority list found in the rewards.yml.
ex (from rewards.yml) group: - member - VIP - OnTop - admin - owner
if TestAcc groups: member & VIP
When "OnTop" is added to the players groups, VIP will be removed. When put back into "member", OnTop will be removed, and member 'added'. So the net result will be:
TestAcc groups: member
There is a way to solve this using the current OnTime, but it will take a bit more work to get it set up, and a better understanding of your exact group structure. If you are interested, we should take this to a PM exchange, where I can provide the set of commands you need to run.
As a side note, I think I need to add new reward types: addgroup & removegroup which would then give you the exact function you want.
also for the command set for your example, I have determined the right set of commands is:
You do NOT want to use the "indi" command as long as you are assigning the reward #1 as a "top" reward.

User: TestAcc Groups: - Member - VIP
(/ontime rewards add group OnTop /ontime rewards indi 1 / ontime rewards add group member 6d 50m real / ontime rewards link 1 2)
Example: TestAcc is the first on the totaltime Rank.
And he became the new Special Rank OnTop for 7 days
have he after the 7 Days the Group Member or the Groups Member & VIP ?

I'll have to do some investigation to see how to modify what happens when you hold down the TAB key, so at this point I can't make any promises on that one.
There is a command "ontime online" which gives you some data about all online players, but it does not include the first login / days since first join, but this can be easily added.
When you say "first joined in (days)" do you mean calendar days since their first login, or the number of different days they have played since they first joined? (I want to be clear I understand what you are thinking.)
For the new reward type you suggested, you want to give out a promotion if a player joined your server for the first time, and that was so many calendar days ago?
Ex. I play on the server for the first time on Jan 1, 2013. and seven days later on Jan 8, 2013 I get promoted because the reward is set for seven days. This should happen regardless if I played for 90 hours on 7 different days, or 1 min only on Jan 1st?
If I am off base here from what you want, please provide an example.
btw thanks for the kudos.

I'm not quite sure of your question. Can you provide an example so I can better understand?

Posted Feb 20, 2013Hello! Love your plugin, I appreciate all the hard work you put into it.
I was wondering if I you could add the following features:
Ability to press and hold "TAB" and see the online player list with a number variable showing when they first joined in (days) next to a players name ? That way, seeing this would be much easier than having to type /ontime name, t, and scroll up to see First Join Time on each person.
OR...
A way to promote based on Join Date time automatically? Thanks a billion!

Thank you for the help.
I use more than one Group (Vip / Elite /User/ Supporter/...). But demote this:
all Groups and set only the group Builder after 7 days ?
