What is OKB3?
Bulletin Board Bridge, or OKB3 as I've dubbed it, is a forum bridging plugin that currently allows you to whitelist/blacklist your server, set Permissions 3.x.x, PermissionsEx, GroupManager, bPermissions, permissionsBukkit groups based on forum ranks, promote/demote players on both the server and your forums, mirror forum and server nicknames, mirror forum and server bans, reward forum posts with BoseConomy, iConomy or EssentialsEcon currency, and more!

You only sync once. After that, it does the job automaticly at each login.

Posted Jun 17, 2012So about when would it be possible to have secondary groups syncing while being able to promote via primary group?
(Yes, I believe in a greylist view and I'd like people to be able to have multiple permission groups as their status changes etc.)
Just putting it out there, it could be possible to designate a primary group as the first group to be mentioned in whichever permissions plugin being used, while the secondary groups come in after on the permissions group list. EX:
PEX
user:
gabizou:
groups:
- founder
- t2
- builder
- etc.
so the founder group is a primary group (since pex utilizes the first group listed for prefix options) and Xenforo would have the tags for the donor and builder group titles in the forums.
Possible?

OKB by default reset all groups of a player and put the one linked with the forum. That's probably why it resets to Default all the time. Does setting the user in a sub-group instead of main group fix your issue? (I got Xenforo also but never tested that theory lol)

Posted Jun 15, 2012I can't configure the plugin whit xenforo, when i try to sync the username iam getting error on log :
2012-06-15 10:57:24 [SEVERE] com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'forum.myforum_xf_user_authenticate' doesn't exist
the probleme is ".myforum_" i never setup my config.yml whith this name only set :
configuration: forum: XenForo prefix: use-secondary-group: true mysql-connection: mysql-host: localhost mysql-user: xxxxxx mysql-password: xxxxxxxx mysql-database-name: forum mysql-port: '3306'
what iam doing wrong ?

Hmm, looks wierd since OKB works with group ID's only. Not titles. What website are you syncing with?

Posted Jun 5, 2012On my server, we have many ranks. However, you can donate for a custom title. This rank is not placed in the OKB3 config. I simply set them to custom title on our forums, an un-configured rank in okb3. It was working fine at first, but now whenever I make someone a custom title, they get set to default every now and then. Why is this?
Here's an example, these are my ranks in OKB3. Default Member Regular Trusted Architect Plebian Contributor Donor Dedicated Investor Moderator Admin Co-owner Owner
I give people custom titles that they donate for, example: DragonSlayer, Scientist, Designer, etc.
What would I do to make these custom titles work?

Posted May 25, 2012Users have to register at my website with their Minecraft nickname.
With the new version of OKB3 Renewed, is there a mode called 'normal'? It looks like it is default on the 'secure' more.
Any way to switch back to 'normal' mode so that users don't have to use the /sync option?

The prefix is used for people that use prefix on their table name for their website/forum (XF don't have any I think that's why you don't know hehe).

Even though there are no clear instructions on installation and usage, I managed to get it to connect, I am still having errors. Can someone please help. The PHPBB3.class file is located in /OKB3/links folder. I am not sure why I am getting this error.
I am also using the most recent version 3.7.0. Any information regarding this issue would be most appreciated.

Its saying it cant connect to remote database when it is all setup right and my host is allowing my server ip for remote mysql.

prefix used for? If say I'm using Xenforo, what should the prefix be?
EDIT: I notice that on the console when attempting to /sync for the first time (since a wipe for 3.7 was required) the prefix field is empty however I still get a myforum_ stuck in the connection even after multiple restarts.
EDIT 2: Nevermind :P I figured trying to add prefix: '' would work and it did. Not entirely sure why there are prefixes enforced but ah well. Thanks for keeping this updated.

Posted May 9, 2012Wondering if you managed a new update or beta build since April 2 build. Still having a error when trying to frank command and users wont auto update yet. Still having to manually change ranks in my forums.
Edit: just saw your 3.7.0 SNAPSHOT, hopefully this solves the problem. Thanks for your hard work!
