NoEggPort
NoEggPort
The rarest and therefore most valuable block on almost any minecraft server is - the ender dragon egg. This plugin protects dragon Eggs from beeing portet. It provides optional WorldGuard region support.
Description
When WorldGuard is enabled on the server, the plugin protects all eggs in protected regions, as if it was a block to be broken. Aditionally, and for those without WorldGuard, you can forbid players to port eggs in certain worlds. Todo so, add the world in the config as described below.
Configuration
With the config.yml, you can customize the Message appearing when s.o. tries to port an egg he's not allowed to (including chat colors). And you can choose, in which worlds the protection is active. By default, this is set to the 3 standard worlds "world", "world_nether" and "world_the_end". If you have additional/different worlds, just add them to the list. If you don't want the protection for a certain world, i.e. the end, just delete it from the list.
Setup
The setup ist very simple aswell. Just put the NoEggPort.jar into your Plugins - folder and restart the server. Then open the config.yml, put in your worlds, save it and restart again. That's all :)
Permissions
If you want to give some users or a certain group of users - i.e. Mods - the possibillity to port eggs even in regions they don't have permission for, you can give them the permission
NoEggPort.port
which will override the plugin's restrictions.
I hope this plugin will help you to keep your server free from any griefs. Should you have any questons, feedback or suggestions, please let me know, I would love to hear from you.
Check out my other Plugins aswell!
NoEnderpeal - Blocks the teleport funktion of enderpearls in chosen regions or worlds
Memory - A fun card game in minecraft for inbetween.
BuildContest - Makes managing build contests on your server very easy.
VillagerPerm - Controlls who can trade with villagers and who is allowed to kill them.
-Although having tested this plugin on different servers in many situations without any problems, I cannot guarantee the functionality with your individual setup, and cannot be held responsible for any loss. If you have any errors, please report them providing the complete server log of this error, aswell as a list with your installed plugins and I will try to fix it.

As long as your WorldEdit-Version is compatible, it should be. I have yet to test it in a 1.7.10 environment, but it works fine on our 1.7.9 Server.
Edit: it works with any 1.7 and 1.8 craftbukkit / spigot versions

Listing 15 World names once and changing 2 world names once a month shouldn't be too much trouble. And if you name your new worlds the same than those you delete, you wouldn't even have to change anything.
Since listing all worlds will result in the same effect than an option to disable it in all, I won't add this feature (it would be 2 options configurating the same thing).

Posted Jul 27, 2013I went to look into this again, and my server has 17 worlds, and 2 of them rotate every month (its a temp monthly scratch world for testing concepts). So if its not too hard, can you just make an option to apply it to all worlds?

To block it in all worlds, you would have to add all worlds to the list. But since you usually don't have too many worlds, that shouldn't pose a problem. I've never thought about creative, you are right, it blocks that aswell. The only way around it right now is to give certain players (like server staff) the override permission. Then the'll be able to break them, but also to port them. But I'll add creative mode support to the ToDo list :)

Posted May 31, 2013Is there a way to make this protect all worlds without me having to list out all the worlds?
I just need a plugin that disables dragon egg teleporting, this seems to also prevent then from being destroyed as well in creative mode, is there a way to make it so it only blocks teleporting?

You have to make a region, just as you would to protect blocks in an area. And no, they can't be destroyed.

Maybe if possible can you add a few new features:

Because of the many requests to add a version not requiering WorldGuard, I uploaded 2 different files for version 1.1. The default version stays with WorldGuard region support, but if you need one without, you'll find it on the "Files" tab.
Both versions now have a config.yml, where you can customize a few things (see above).
Thanks the feedback!

Posted Oct 5, 2012I'll add a few functions, like disabeling for certain worlds (probably by using a config-file) and update ist within the next days. So far I haven't uploaded the code anywhere.

I like that idea, I've actually been looking for a way to stop the dragon egg teleporting in my main world, any way you could make something that would allow it in the end but disable that feature in all other worlds?
Also, do you post your code anywhere? Github perhaps?

Posted Sep 17, 2012Hi! I don't have worldguard, buti would like to be able to put a dragon egg in my house as a trophy without worrying it might teleport if someone touches it. Could you make a small plugin that disables the teleporting of the egg completely?

NoEggPort works on any 1.3 Bukkit Server with WorldGuard installed. It only fixes the porting issue with regions defined by WorldGuard. Unfortunately, (as far as I know) Towny uses it's own region system, and therefore NoEggPort won't work with it :(

Posted Sep 4, 2012Sounds excellent. This will make many of my users happy?
It sounds like it works for all systems, but would it work for Towny?
