NoPortal
A simple plugin that disables the accessibility to use the Nether Portal for certain users.
Even without the permission, everyone is still able to use to go into the Nether (if enabled). It just disables the portal access.
Permissions:
- noportal.enter - Allows players to enter the Nether.
To Do:
- Disable creating portals for players without the permission
- Command to purge all the portals
I do take suggestions.

Posted Jan 15, 2014Could you make it so it does nothing at all when a person tries to enter a portal? At least let me configure that. It explodes and all the blocks are destroyed around it. This would be a good griefer strategy as I have a ton of portals set up for decoration.

It wouldn't be accurate, but you can find the closest person from the proximity of the portal being created, see if they are holding a small set of things (lava, fire, flint and steel, etc.), and check if that person have permission. If no one has permission in the range, event gets cancelled. If one of them have permission,then portal gets made.

I've been trying to do this, but the problem is I can't get the player via the PortalCreateEvent. I'm trying to find a way around this, but I'm also busy with various other plugins.

EssentialsProtect has it but had issues with it in the past and would love a mod that I can use to disable access for some, but allow for others. Along with making it so people can't create portals.

also the exploding function is good for when players create them, but what if a player tries to use the server spawn ... they die, the portal explodes and you destroy ALL of the spawn ...
please add the ability to turn off the explosion

I'm already adding an option whether portals will explode if a player that doesn't have permission enters one. So that'll purge the existing portals.
