Well, hello! This is my very first plugin. I wanted a light-weight news plugin that can display ...well... news! So I went on and learned how to make a Server Plugin with my fairly small java abilities. I have to say: I learned lots while coding this plugin and even though it won't become a "big deal", I'm happy if there's at least someone out there who can use Newsletter!

Functions
As mentioned above, this Plugin is meant to be a newsreader. It reads a certain file and spits it out!
One can edit this news-file either directly ingame or with any desired text-editor.

Configuration
In order to configure this Plugin, just simply drag & drop it into the plugins folder.
After the very first startup, it will create a file called news.txt in the root directory of your server (where your craftbukkit.jar sits).
Of course, the Plugin has Permission Support. The Nodes are as follows:

Posted Feb 25, 2013Hi, I am really enjoying this plugin, however one little frustration. It keeps saying the plugin is out of date and telling me to get a more updated version. I can't use the more updated version on my server and would really like it to stop saying this. I changed the files but it keeps coming back and doing it. How can I disable this please?

Would the be possible: I have headlines displayed and if you click on it (like a link), it will show it to you in full. eg New server aveliable Rules have been changed Admins started a youtube series
And lets say i click 3rd one. Now this appears: The following Admins have started a new series on the server.....
I think it might be possible in YML (using 4 spaces after each headline on a new line...)

Can anyone explain what this means? Does it mean that users with that permission will be notified if there is an update to the Newsletter plugin? Or does it mean that users with this permission will be notified if there is updated content in the newsletter itself?

Posted May 24, 2012I would love to see the ability to start a new line when I go to the next line in the config because at the moment it all looks messed up. Also the ability to not add text next to the "[NEWSLETTER]" and have that on the top line. Hope you can get this done because there just aren't any good simple news plugins. (I need this to add links to websites that give people info about various plugins I am using)

Posted May 5, 2012Love it but im getting an odd bug, I changed some of the colors and formatting of the prefix in settings, but now it shows up as ?8[?cNews?8]?f: every time. Even If I totally revert it to default and then reload, it still shoes as white with all the ?'s

Posted Feb 24, 2012I'd personally love this plugin but I have a few requests, can you make a Breaking News type thing where when we enter it every hour or two it sends a server broadcast
other than that, can you add a date and time option(I prefer a changable 12/24 hour mode) so when you type like /setnews %time %date The Server has installed Newsletter. it shows up as
10:39AM 2/24/2012: The Server has installed Newsletter.(new line here) 04:52PM 2/21/2012: Haven has opened its Monorail for Business(new line here) [Previous entry here](new line here) [Previous entry here](new line here) [Continued...]
and for breaking news it would be like...
/Bnews %time %date The Server will be brought down for Scheduled Maintenance at Noon for Ten Minutes!
then of course it would show up every hour
