NewMeat
NewMeat adds sheep & horse meat as custom drops from those animals.
Features
- Simple - download & use, no configuration (yet).
- 1-2 "Sheep Meat" (renamed pork) from Sheep
- 2-3 "Horse Meat" (renamed beef) from Horses
- Cooking in a furnace converts to "Cooked" meat of the appropriate type.
No commands or permissions.

Hmm, I think I know what the sheep are dropping too many, will fix that in the next build.
Horses have had issues as they are a new mob - I'll test it against the latest Bukkit dev builds this weekend (and build with Java 6 for @Anon72521).

Posted Jul 16, 2013I'm not getting horse meat when killing horses. Changed sheep meat to mutton though, drops just fine when killing sheep.

Yes, in the config file (for version 1.1.0) you could just copy and paste the horse section (for example) and change the details to creeper (or Ender Dragon). Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for that. As this plugin was built for a specific request however I wrote it to the exact specifications being "Sheep meat" :) For future releases (depending on popularity) I might change the default name to "Mutton".

Posted Jul 11, 2013I noticed something, If you kill a sheep or horse with fire they still drop raw meat. If a pig or cow gets killed by fire they drop cooked food.

Then I realised I could structure the configuration more efficiently and support the same configuration for any entity type with no extra code. May not be useful but was a nice side-effect of improving the code :)

Hmm... not sure if I could make it explode - though you could drop TNT from creepers if you wanted, wouldn't be able to cook it though.

Ah yes, that's the default for custom names, easily fixed though ( and will resolve another bug I just thought of, renaming at anvil), will fix when I get home in 8 hours or so.
