NBTEditor
NBTEditor allows easy customization of many aspects of Minecraft, through the modification of NBT tags, on Spigot and CraftBukkit servers. Creating custom potions and tools with powerful enchantments is as easy as running a few commands. And with the help of the Book of Souls, it's possible to create highly complex entities and spawners with ease.
Features include:
- Robust system to edit of all entities and spawners using a book based UI (Book of Souls);
- Conversion entities into '/summon' commands;
- Customization of items (name, lore, unbreakable, modifiers, colors on leather armor etc.);

Edit now, spawn later: The Book of Souls is most powerful feature of the NBTEditor, it allows for easy entity customization. Create bosses, custom villagers, flying creepers or anything you like. No data files, no one-time customization, just keep the book safe and you can spawn as many entities as you like.
Included is also an 'Item Storage' command to keep track of your Books of Souls and other edited items.
The variable system used by the NBTEditor ensures that only valid NBT changes are performed while providing a standard way to make those changes. Arbitrary NBT modifications are not possible.


All Items, Entities and Spawners are fully compatible with the Vanilla Minecraft!

Global Statistics
On version 2.0 the NBTEditor started using MCStats for usage statistics. MCStats is now offline.
Since version 3.0, bStats is used to gather general usage statistics. You can read here about bStats, what data is sent, and how to opt-out from sending statistics from your server.

That cannot be done only by editing NBT tags, so it will not be added. Mojang must add the tags and the 'game logic' for that, first.
As chaoswizard98 said just put the spawner on a dark area, you can even control it with redstone lamps (+1).

If your old BoSs broke with the update, unfortunately they cannot be fixed, (this did not happen to me on my server).
If you have some already spawned mobs you can use /bos getempty, on spawners you can use /nbt see, to get a fresh copy of the BoSs.

I don't think you can keep a falling can entity from turning into a solid block by itself (can you provide some videos or something).
The same guy that made the tutorial video above, Failboat103, also made this video (www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xjk2FM4X0Oo) about quick sand...
It IS possible to keep the falling sand entity from turning into a block, by making it ride another entity, /bos riding, (e.g. a gravel on top of an invisible pig). (When spawning these entitites with left-click, they may not spawn correctly because of the way that the left-click spawn is implemented, try spawning them on top of a half-block, they work fine with spawners).

Posted Aug 23, 2013How do we make a falling sand entity that doesn't solidify into a block, and just stays a falling sand entity?
I see people using fake blocks like this as secret walls they can walk though, but they use MCEdit to do that. When I try to do that with this plugin, the entity either disappears completely, or turns into a solid block, depending on what I set the Time variable too. :/

I have done this. put a zombie spawner underground "in a dark room" and set the position of where you want them to spawn at somewhere above ground. Don't forget to make them fireproof with either a fire resistance potion or an item in the head slot! Might have to change player-range as well so the spawner detects the player.

You gave it no velocity so it is stuck in the air. Your only solution is to get yourself a mob clearer or NoLagg (/lag clear) and delete all wither skulls.

I wanted to test a new book of souls for a witherskull, so I right-clicked the ground and spawned a flying witherskull, but it didn't explode ... so now I have an invisible witherskull, that appears for 2 ticks and then, it disappears again ... so has anyone a suggestion how I could remove this buggy skull?

Posted Aug 21, 2013Is there a way to use this plugin, to make falling-sand that behave like we see in SethBling's auto-building/animation videos? Maybe not on that scale of course, but at least similar function?
Like the ability to have a falling-sand-entity stay in it's "falling state", even when sitting on the ground.. Instead of just turning into a block, or disappearing? Or the ability to use those entities to actually remove blocks, since his videos also show that. And it's all just done with MCEdit filters.

If you have WorldEdit installed, you can use the butcher-command. Stand next to your villager and type /butcher 10 -n This will kill any NPC (therefore stands the -n) in a radius of 10 blocks around you.

Essentials supports colors. If you are having problems with BoS becoming corrupt then is most certainly because of some inventory management plugin. Multiverse-Inventories has a bug breaking all stuff with colors.
