What is MyZ?
MyZ is not simply a Bukkit plugin. It is a complete re-imagination of Minecraft. Featuring a highly immersive new gamemode, MyZ aims to emulate and enhance a combination of DayZ and MineZ. With new mobs, items, chat features and more, MyZ has a lot to boast about and nearly endless opportunities.
Survive and prosper in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Be careful though - you'll have to pay close attention to your hunger, health, thirst, visibility and temperature. Not to mention the enhanced undead mobs and bosses. When you die - and you will die - become a zombie, or a ghost and get a second chance at surviving.

Very helpful, thank you. The version that just went onto GitHub (same version number but new jar) may fix this problem by delaying the respawn by one second. So you should see the respawn option for less than a second before you are respawned automagically.

Posted Nov 17, 2013Quite a big thing there, don't even know if it gives you any relevant info.
This is what comes up evey time the blue death error happens, but its changed since _12. It gives me the option to respawn now, which then spawns me in the same place. But 50 blocks in the air to fall to my death.

The latest file has been submitted both here and on GitHub. I'm going to look into this again tomorrow but as far as my tests have gone, it should be working properly. I may be missing something however, as my plugin can very well have issues.

Going to look into this as well. My tests have been done with WorldEdit installed, but I'll try removing it and seeing how it goes.

oh well it never like teleports them back to spawn point or anything i have the server kick after death disabled but even while that's enabled if they rejoin the server it teleports them right back where they got kicked at and the cycle starts again so i disabled that

I'll try adding essentials to see if it may help at all,
On another other note, have you pushed the lobby fix anywhere yet?
EDIT: http://puu.sh/5lLRX.jpg Screenshot of what happens whenever a player dies to a zombie, but instantly spawns back IF its by any other mean (player, fall, etc)
DOUBLE EDIT: Essentials didn't change the outcome, could have guessed that.

This is what should happen: Player dies > player is immediately respawned > player is immediately kicked from the server and cannot join for 30 seconds (if kickban is enabled)
If Essentials is present, the command /spawn will be dispatched by the player that died, otherwise they'll just be at the server spawnpoint.
Tested and working with Craftbukkit 1.6.4-R1.0 and up.
[EDIT] It sounds as if it is working properly for you, @SaiFive as this is the intended behavior, assuming kickban is disabled. For you, though, @SlzDuo, it sounds as if there is a problem...

Posted Nov 17, 2013my players can still move and look and stuff it acts just like they never died except it spawns a zombie with their name/head/loot and it never stops doing this lol

Good to hear you figured it out, looking forward to actually being able to get building now.
With what @SaiFive is saying, I'm getting what I believe is the same problem. When a player dies, the terrain dissapeers and instead of getting respawned they just sit there in space. It appears they're disconnected from the server aswell.

I've tested thoroughly and they do seem to be working as usual. Using the /setlobby command, the lobby min and max are set in /plugins/MyZ-3/spawn.yml as are the spawnpoints. I can't reproduce your problems... Mind posting steps on how to reproduce?
[EDIT] Ah, never updated the plugin to look in spawn.yml instead of config.yml for the lobby, etc. Fixing now.

Don't know if its just something I'm doing wrong or the lobbies still aren't working. Using the newest build from your github the npc fix is there, just not the lobby/rank fix.

Lobby and rank setting wasn't being saved previous to 3.0.6.11, but should be working in every version post 3.0.6.11 (see GitHub).
The configuration for human NPCs is going live on GitHub now. Build number 3.0.6.12.

Edit: For some reason, None of the things I change seem to stay. Every lobby, rank, or other misc change I make is reset on reload/restart. Is there a reason for that?

Posted Nov 16, 2013Hey TeeePeee, I've been following this project sine probably just a few weeks after it being posted. I just want to say thanks before I get into my comment.
Is there any way to disable skeleton/npc spawns? I only really want the zombies in my game and I cannot find a way to keep that asshole Teo (and other mobs) out of the game. Thanks!
