A simple way to change names
Example Usage
Note, you cannot change your name to an existing online player's name
Commands
- /myname {name} - Will set your display name
- /myname {player} {name} - Will set another player's display name
- /resetname - Will reset your display name
- /resetname {player} - Will reset another player's display name
Permissions
- myname.name - Set your display name
- myname.name.others - Set another player's display name
- myname.reset - Reset your display name
- myname.reset.others - Reset another player's display name
Installation
- Download the jar
- Put it in your plugins folder
- Start your server!
Known Conflicts
This line in the Essentials Config:
- change-displayname: false THIS MUST BE FALSE!

Posted Dec 25, 2013What would have been good as well is if you used the Packet20NamedEntitySpawn to change there nametag but as of 1.7 it was removed :(
