MyHungerGames

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server.
These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.
The goal of this project was not only to create the Hunger games (commonly also referred to as Survival Games), but allow to server owners and admins tweak the game to their exact needs. 1: do you want them to be randomized, or fixed?
For both interacting and breaking, there are two options in the config.yml. ultimately, it is up to allow players to break/interact with MOST blocks or SOME blocks. If you want them to break/interact with most blocks, set allow-break-blocks to true or allow-interact-blocks to true. Then, put any special cases in special-blocks-interact or special-blocks-break. If you want them to only break or interact a few, set the first to false and exceptions go in the second.

Posted Nov 7, 2012Thanks, that build worked perfectly! I have a few questions though: 1. How do I configure chests to be automatically restocked? 2. How do I make it they can interact with blocks but not break them Eg. Levers? 3. How do I allow leave breaking?

Can you try the latest build, available here: http://ci.chrisgward.com/view/All/job/MyHungerGames/34/
Also, are you getting any other errors, perhaps on startup?

Posted Nov 6, 2012Thanks for that help page, I've set it up now. However, I'm having a problem, when I do /hg join HG it says an internal error occured however I am still at a spawn on the map and can't escape. I try /hg quit and it just comes up with the same error! In the end I had to restart the server to get out, how do I fix this?

The default config has a comment for each option. If you have confusion on any, just ask.
@Trecoo
The website has stats. Currently, they are here: http://myhungergames.fragzone.org/webstats.php And will eventually be here: http://mcmyhg.com/webstats.php
By official release, these will be revamped/cleaned up.

@kitskup is right, you will have to set the spawns in random locations on your map.
@Trecoo
Thanks for the suggestion, I was thinking about that my self a bit, but never got to talk to kits about it. I will see what I can do. I think that he has already looked at your suggestion, and talk to us about it. I will see what I can do!
@Chris_D_Turk
Do you mean you are trying to find a TUT or something to help show the config? I don't follow.

Posted Nov 5, 2012Heey, what about a RANK?
Exemple:
2 team, 5x5. The winner team has "+1 victory" and the looser team has "+1 game lost" and "+1 abandoned game" for the ones who left game before ends. A player could see TOP 15 rank, his rank, another player's rank....
That would be fun, players just want play again and again to be on top rank or something like it...

@HuntHoot
What I suggest you do is set up SEVERAL spawnpoints in random locations, then have it start after x number of players join. That way any of the spawnpoints could be picked, but not all have to be filled.

Posted Nov 4, 2012@kitskub @zendrex Thanks a lot! That really helped! one last question, and i'll give you the scenario here:
My goal is to make it so that people spawn in one world. Okay, I got that set up. Then, When they do /join (i used another plugin to shorten it down) it will take them to another world, where they are against each other. Okay, that works. But I was hoping you could answer this for me: Would it be possible to randomize the location for the spawning when they get there? I don't want there to be a set spawn point, but for them to spawn in a random location.

@zendrex answered it correctly: you don't NEED multiverse, but you'll probably want to use it or something like it for world management. Let me make it clear: you don't HAVE to do anything. It's ALL up to YOU. I'd recommend setting up boundaries so they don't interfere with each other though.
@IKFFxRaPiDzZ
Because it's a bukkit PLUGIN, updates are easy. It works. There was nothing breaking API-wise between 1.3.2 and 1.4.2

Yes I have messed around with it a bit, and if you have a plugin like multiverse, then yes it will work. It is not a dependency, but it is recommended if you use the plugin for a mini game on your server. Also yes, you have to make points on the edges of the map. This prevents players from editing blocks, etc. About the same world/multiple games, I will have to test that out. I never thought of it. I will ask kits when I get a chance.

Posted Nov 3, 2012Hey, so, noob question, but it does not seem to be answered at all throughout this post...
Does this plugin use multiverse or something like it? I'm just a bit confused. And how do you make multiple games in the same world? Is there boundaries I have to set or something? Thanks.

I honestly have no clue what is causing the spawnpoints bug. I will make some adjustments and post a possible fix.
