Multiworld
Craftbukkit 1.9 support!
Multiworld - The official Multiworld Project
The easy to use multiworld plugin, support custom end and nether worlds for each worlds, you can configure what you want, and you get it (limited to what I programmed)
History
I made this plugin because the previous author "Baummann", the original creator of Multiworld, became inactive. Before, it was just a simple plugin with 2 commands: /goto and /newworld. I took control of the project and developed a better version. We are now at version 5.2.8 of Multiworld.
Features
- Custom world generators like a world with deserts
- Allows you to change the gamemode of a player when you enters a world
- Supports relative coordinates with /mw move and /mw goto like the /teleport from vanila minecraft
- Block chat coming from other worlds to create worlds where the users have their own private chat

Other recommended plugins for your server
- LocationTeleport - This plugin teleports users when they enter a arena, when you shape the area like a portal, you can have your own portals
- hothgenerator - Generates a awesome snow world (Case sensitive)
/mw create WorldName plugin:HothGenerator
- multiinv - Allows more control between the inventories of worlds than multiworld can provide on its own.

Posted Jul 25, 2013Is there a proper way to change the difficulty without manually editing the config file?
A new command would be good for this, e.g.:
/mw difficulty 0, 1, 2 or 3 worldname

Yeah, I've tried it on my PC before I waste my beautyful world :D
I got the tip from one of the support tickets I've read. (http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/multiworld-v-2-0/tickets/107-hi-how-do-i-upload-a-world-using-multiworld-while-i/).
Thanks for writing it down. I hope the author will include it in the description until there's a special command for importing.
greetings

That was fast! Multiworld pulls the proper seed file (compared to an old multiverse config showing the seed), so that wasn't a problem.
A quick run-down of importing non-MW worlds
Just in case it hasn't been spelled out for those 'special' people like me who need help:
1.) Get your server up and running with MW.
2.) Move your previous world or worlds into your Minecraft directory. They should sit along-side the world you either created, or was already in the directory, when you deployed MW.
3.) Once the files have been copied over (always have a back up), use the /mw create [worldname]. This will not overwrite the world file, and the seed of the import world will be imported. This will have to be done for the Nether and End worlds as well if you plan to import them. Might be a good idea to double check and ensure the seed files do line up, just in case though.
4.) Verify the world is active with a /mw list. If the world isn't active, use /mw load [worldname].
5.) From there, verify proper links from world to world, I.E. World 1 links to World 1_Nether and World 1_End, or however you need the links to work.
I hope that helps anyone stuck on the MW import, and thanks to Reazaaa for finding where I screwed up.

Thanks. I will give that a shot.
I thought I had caught something like that earlier, however I was concerned that it would create the world with a different seed than what the world was created with in the config.yml. Do you know if I have to manually change this back to avoid world corruption?
I'll dabble with it and see if I get an answer on my own. I think this would be good information to include in the FAQ or somewhere evident though.
Thanks again.

You mus type in /mv create worldname for importing worlds. worldname must be the name of the worldfolder in your directory. I hope there will be a better way/command for this in future.
kind regards

Posted Jul 24, 2013Just like Deepbullets, I'm having an issue getting my old worlds into MW. I have the previous worlds loaded into the folder alongside the current world settings, however they aren't listed with a /mw list and when I try to /mw load, I am told they aren't there. I've deleted the config.yml and re-saved to generate a new one with the worlds in the folder, but still nothing.
What am I doing wrong?

Posted Jul 24, 2013Does the command /mw link <world1> <world2> really link ALL the nether portals to the other world or is there a way to choose a special portal to use?
Thanks for this great plugin!

Posted Jul 23, 2013@DeepBullets - They should already be detected by MW, Use "/mw list" to view the status of that world, if unloaded, use "/mw load {world_name}".
@StrategyCraft - You may need another plugin for that, try... http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/perworldplugins/ , hope that helps.

Posted Jul 19, 2013Is there a way to use command blocks to teleport between worlds? I tried: /mw goto world with various switches and @p option in different areas with no luck. Command blocks are enabled as I use them for teleporting now to other locations on the same world. I personally dislike the portals used in the game. Aside from the sounds being annoying they make me sick to my stomach. =)
