About MV
Multiverse was created at the dawn of Bukkit multiworld support. It has since then grown into a complete world management solution including special treatment of your nether worlds with NetherPortals.
In the second delivery of Multiverse, we've broken it up into several smaller plugins that are each feature packed but *not bloated*! Multiverse provides the easiest to use world management solution for your Minecraft server, big or small, and with great addons like Portals and NetherPortals, what's not to love!

- Allow a nether per real world!

So long Awesome Builds
We use to have this notion of an "Awesome Build" or AB which was suppose to be thought of like Bukkit's Recommended Build system. Awesome Builds were ones that we put extra testing into and were meant to be very stable. Unfortunately there will be no more Awesome Builds. Our development team doesn't have the time to devote to the project that we use to. As such, we've moved to a new build system which you'll notice in the new version numbering. Our release builds here should be stable; Lots of people have had time to vet them for us while they were only development builds. While we don't have much time to work on the project, we do still take critical bugs very seriously and try to get them fixed as quickly as possible.

Posted Jul 12, 2013Is this up to date with 1.5.2? If if isn't please update it, because this is really cool. Also, is their a way to disable nethers for certain worlds? If their isn't please add it because I don't want people in the creative world going to the nether. Thanks! :')

Posted May 15, 2013guys when my players walk through a nether portal they spawn on the bedrock over the nether map and cant move, how can i fix this?

I'm having this same problem, but with pre-existing portals. when I travel through them, instead of popping me out at the linked portal, it throws me underground, or up in the air, and seems pretty random.
don't know if this plugin is the cause, or even if it could do anything to fix it, but figured writing here was worth a shot.

You're right that world and world_nether are linking but I newworld and newworld_nether are giving me this error.

Posted Apr 24, 2013I am not seeing an issue with normal linking (ie world to world_nether) however, I have a second world named Oysous and when I have it linked to world_nether, I am noticing a portal not being made in the nether and it just dropping the player wherever.
Edit: I tested out the latest dev build of Multiverse-NetherPortals and it does generate a portal when using a nether portal from a world that wouldn't normally go there (ie. Oysous using a nether portal to world_nether). So this bug is fixed in developmental builds. As with any developmental build, I strongly caution you that it may be unstable and could potentially lead to server crashes, abusable bugs, security holes, or anything else, <u>use these at your own risk!</u>
I have already noticed a bug with the dev build, in that when it generates a portal, it generates it in the ground, removing the blocks that the portal normally would have been resting on top of. This could lead to players intentionally creating portals to cities removing blocks inside the city.

Posted Apr 23, 2013Going through nether portals is just teleporting players into the nether without creating a portal on the other side (often dropping them into lava)
It would seem this is horribly broken atm
Edit: Not blaming this plugin necessarily, seeing as Bukkit is still on beta. but it definitely wasn't the case before I added MV Nether portals plugin

yes linking worlds doesnt help anything. portals should be spawned in the nether based on coordinations. i hope they fix this soon . otherwise this plugin becomes inactive and well all have to switch to multiworld.

Posted Apr 21, 2013I'm working on setting up multiverse, and I have my main 3 worlds (world, nether and the end) which I use as the main play worlds for survival.
When going through a nether portal though, it isn't warping me to the right place. There are buildings around some nether portals, and when going through them it warps you outside of the building, away from the nether portal so you aren't even "stepping out of the portal"
Is there a way to fix this?
When going through the the end portal AFTER beating the dragon (the one that shows the games credits) after pressing esc the portal pops you back out at the end, instead of taking you back to the spawn point.
It says "this portal goes nowhere"
EDIT
i used mvnp link and they now seem to MOSTLY go to the right.... the_end exit portal now takes me back to the overworld, but instead of the spawn it takes me to a farther location down underground in some blocks suffocating.
same thing when returning from the nether. when going TO the nether instead of popping out of the correct portal (buildings are around them) you end up either in blocks suffocating or in the middle of nowhere, far from the portal location.

To keep your inventory, you have to install Multiverse Inventories too. Check the /mv ? command to see the setup. Had this problem too, solved now :)
The only problem that keeps me bothering is the fact a portal won't appear in the nether after creating/going through one in the overworld. I had to make a second portal at the same spot in the nether to be able to return. I tested this multiple times, the portals seem to be one-way. Hope this will be fixed :)

i have contacted other servers (using mv) and they all seem to have the same problem .

Posted Apr 20, 2013My end portals do not work. They are created when I assemble them, but stepping through does not teleport you there. I added the config

but it would not do anything... what do I need to do to make this work?
