Just wanted to say, if you use permissionsex and modifyworld (included in permissions ex) you can fix that problem.

Because of the way that multi-world works in Bukkit, the real world ('world'), the nether ('world_nether'), the end ('world_the_end') and the skylands (probably 'world_skylands') are all considered different worlds. Because of this, it is necessary that you tell MV to allow people to visit these worlds via a permission: if you want them to be able to visit the nether, give them 'multiverse.access.world_nether' (but replace 'world_nether' with the real name of your nether world, of course). Do the same with the other worlds. If you want a player to always be able to access every world, do 'multiverse.access.*'. This gives them access to every world available now, and will give them access to each new world created or imported. I use this method because I have no plans on restricting world access from any of my players. Good luck!

Check to make sure you have the correct permissions. Players who are not OP and/or given the correct permissions (based on which plugins you have installed) will not be able to use /gamemode. If you are going to be allowing everyone every command anyway, you might as well make everyone an OP by adding them to the ops.txt file. If not, get/set up permissions (there is a built-in permissions file now, in the root folder) to allow /gamemode. The specific permission will vary based on the plugin you have installed. Good luck!
Edit: Give everyone you want to be able to do /gamemode the 'mv.bypass.gamemode.<worldname>' permission, that should allow them to use the /gamemode command.

This is a permissions error: If you are using Permissions to disallow building, it disallows everything including the use of pressure plates and levers. This, unfortunately, has nothing to do with MV and therefore they could not fix it. Talk to the developer of the Permissions plugin you are using to figure out how to fix it.

Posted Jan 7, 2012Ok, I have two worlds. One is a build world, the other is an adventure world. I used permissions to close off building rights to the adventure world, but leave them open to the buildworld. This works fine, but the people who don't have build rights cannot use levers or pressure plates. Is there any way to give a "use" permission?

Posted Jan 6, 2012I've been using the dev versions that were released when Jenkins went down. So far they've been extremely stable. I do look forward to the AB, but I'm also happy that you guys are taking the time to really make sure the build you release deserves that "Awesome" title.

Posted Jan 5, 2012Ok guys. We have 2 bugs (think I've fixed the first) before the AB.
Please monitor our github, and _don't_ be scared of our dev builds. They're quite stable, just make sure to check for updates before you post an issue.

Posted Jan 5, 2012Hate to double post like this, but I forgot to add that I have given the users the permissions of "multiverse.access.world" and "multiverse.access.world_nether".. I figured I'd add that in before it's suggested as the problem

Posted Jan 5, 2012Havin' some difficulties.. I'm trying to set it up so there's 1 extra world for a spawnshop/playershops... anyway.. I have world, world_nether, and world_shops.. I want the world to still use the world_nether (I've uploaded multiverse-netherportals aswell) but every time I have a user test it they say that it's telling them they don't have access. Is there a command I've over-looked? Because my self, as the server owner, can go back and forth with no problem, but I am operator and have '*' in my permissions... help please!

Posted Jan 5, 2012Ive been running this plugin since December 18th without any issues at all - MV Core and MV Portal. The only thing I find is with running MV Nether the server can forget its links when doing a plugin reload.
I have 8 Worlds working perfectly on my one server.
Come take a look if you want. IP is Brangore.pigsaddle.com. If you do, my in game name is gmore70. If you want to see what plugins Im running, just type /plugins in game.
Im using Dev 418. I did quickly try a 'newer' dev build, but it caused too many issues with game mode etc. I will sit happily and wait for a new RB for mv. So try 418 from Dec 18.

Posted Jan 5, 2012Any Idea how long until this plugin will be ready the current release is unusable. Causes strange crashes and returns players to initial spawn when ever they die or log off.

I had that exact same problem. I'm guessing it's a random plugin conflict, but I'm just going to wait until they have a RB.
When do you guys think you will be getting the RB out? Does it take a couple days even after you submit it into the Bukkit site? Just curious :3

Posted Jan 4, 2012So should this completely break the nether for any worlds not counted as the main world? I ask because its only the world listed in server_properties that can use nether or end portals. Kinda annoying since one worlds an adventure map with a good part in the nether and anothers a normal world where people can play normally.

That would depend on the chat plugin you use. AFAIK, MultiVerse has no business with the server chatter. World-exclusive chat plugins are pretty common nowadays, but I couldn't recommend any particular one for you.

Posted Jan 4, 2012Before i install this, is there a way to filter chat? Like chat in one world stays in world, unless a command is given? I plan on having a 2-5 world server run, but don't want some one on world x, for example, to chat to everyone on all the worlds, when talking only to y.

Posted Jan 4, 2012Hmm When i try to create a Skyland world, it says this is not a valid environment. Valid environments are:
NORMAL
NETHER
SKYLANDS
So I did /mv create Sky SKYLANDS
But i got that error..
