I have given my admin group the mv.bypass.gamemode.* permission but the game mode is still switching when travelling between worlds. I have mad the permission the first permission as well just to be sure but it doesn't make any difference.
I am also using the MultiInv plugin, could it be possible that this plugin is causing problems?

Posted Jan 29, 2012When you said " I assume you have an admin group with a wildcard symbol (*) to give them all the permissions..." I thought I read that to mean multiverse.* not just *

I had the same problem with PermissionsEx. I assume you have an admin group with a wildcard symbol (*) to give them all the permissions...
You will need this node for your admin group: -mv.bypass.gamemode.* But keep an eye on the order of the nodes...
First, this was my admin group: http://pastie.org/3275005
But I had to change is it to: http://pastie.org/3275008
"PEX works from a top down method when checking permissions. Because you have the wildcard node before the negation node for multiverse, it finds the * first then stops checking."
http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/admn-dev-permissionsex-pex-v1-17-tomorrow-is-today-1-0-0.18140/page-173
I hope is helped ;)

I dont know if i understood you correctly but it is possible to switch the gamemode of a world with the modify command.
/mv modify set gamemode survival|creative [worldname]
the worldname is optional -> if none is set then the world you are in is gonna be modified
/mvm set gamemode creative baconworld

I just updated to the latest craftbukkit and MV dev build and the problem with mv list has disappeared.
Still interested in MV Adventure... For now I'm keeping a backup of a pristine map, then restoring it when a new team wishes to begin the map. But, there is some admin overhead and I'm not always around when they want me.

Update:
Everybody inside the Admin group has gamemode Survival in all the worlds, including the ones that are set to Creative. Everybody outside the Admin group has the right gamemode in the right world. My admin group in PermissionsEx has all permissions with the wildcart symbol (*).
What do I need to do to make my Admin group follow the gamemode that is set for that world. I don't want admins to bypass the gamemode (default is creative an world_Creative in server properties)
Thanks in advance!

Posted Jan 26, 2012Hi. I'm pretty newb at setting up a bukkit server, but an old timer C+ + /Java systems developer. I've built it for my kids and their grade school friends.
When I do; MV List
I'm getting;

Everything else works fine (mv commands, portals, tp, etc.) I'm seeing the no such field Skylands, but I'm unsure where that error may reside.
The main plugins I'm using are Multiverse (core, portals, netherportals), essentials, vault, spout, and LWC.
Also, I'm interested in an update on MV - Adventure. It would seem to fit the bill for some of the team adventures they would like to do/build.

Posted Jan 26, 2012How do I disable 'bypass gamemode' for Admins who have '*' in their permissions section. What negative permission node do I need make my gamemodes as an admin work again? Lower ranks are working fine.
Thanks in advance.

Whoops sorry. Apparently the dev builds link got deleted from the OP. It's back now! (Here too.)

See down a few of my posts. There are no known issues with MV2 and CB 1.1 (apart from the minor one I mentioned that's been fixed in the dev builds.)
